Do you fall in love with your SO over and over again?

What does it take to make you realize you love this person more everyday? Is it the little things or the big gestures? For example, I remember seeing my husband hold our son for the first time. I experienced an all new, deeper level of love than I ever imagined I could feel. Do you think that there is a problem in the relationship if you don't occasionally fall in love with something else about them? What has your SO done recently to renew the love you have for them?

I think that is really wonderful, but I cannot say that I fall in love with mine over and over again because that would mean I had to fall out of love and I have never done that, it just gets better and better all the time.

Thanks for the response, winterose. I'm not sure that I agree that one must fall out of love to fall for something new and refreshed about your SO.

I guess you can call me jaded. I don't fall in love at all and this is not to say that I don't believe in love. What I prefer to do is to show my love by my actions which are very ordinary and mundane and might not even have any connotations of love at all.

I fell in love again while in the hospital. My hubby had to leave me alone due to the boys needed someone home to get them off to school and what not so while he was getting them into bed he sent me a text saying they all loved and missed me. It made my night better my hubby is not the type to say that kinda stuff often so when he does it means alot to me. And i was so sad and lonely being away from my family even though i had savanna it was still hard to be away from all of them for two nights.

It is ounice to see you and your racoon around here again. Awwwwww I bet you DID miss them while you were in the hospital. That was nice of your husband to think of you. I love Savanna's pictures. What a beauty.

Hubby and I had a few years where we had nothing but problems, and for the majority of that time our love was pretty stale. Although all of a sudden things just started picking up, and every week or so I feel like I'm falling in love for the first time. It's not always something he does, but more or less just realizations. Sometimes I can be reading about someone else's marital problems and realize how lucky I am not to have those problems. Or sometimes I just sit and think about how great he is, and there ya have it, I'm in love again.

I'm glad you worked through the problems, katsmeow1213. That is so great that you can just think how great he is and fall in love again.

For me it is a mixture of things. It is setting back after a long day and drinking in all the blessings i have. Realizing how happy my life is and continues to be with him in it. It is memories made from day to day. It is his nature and personality seen from day to day. Just living life and walking through it with him. Those little things that happen mean alot as well.

I have THE PERFECT PICTURE of a recent occurence that made me fall in love with my husband all over again. I thought this was just too SWEET, and I'm so glad I got it on video. The picture is a video capture. He walked into the bedroom one morning, saw the cat on the bed, and just scooped him up and hugged him. Little things like that, and just the sound of his voice is enough to make me fall in love with him all over again. OK, here's the picture.

There are times when I'm grumpy with him and then he does something so sweet-- that he does every day or all the time (I just don't notice) -- this is when I say to myself-- this is why I love him so much. So I'm always seeing things that he does that make me know I'm happy and in love. It's in his actions.
