Is Anyone Unemployed Here? Is it by choice?

I consider myself EMPLOYED, better yet, SELF employed. You don't have to work outside the house to be employed right? Work is work to me, as long as I'm getting paid in return for my efforts. I'm a work from home mom and NO, I'm not UNEMPLOYED, and it's by choice.

Yes, you are right! Work is work. I choose to be self-employed, because I hate dealing with bossy bosses. I like it better this way. I can make my own decisions much better. Sometimes, the pay is scarce, but what pay is not?? Yes, I am not unemployed, it is by choice too!

I consider myself unemployed and by choice. I wanted to stay home for a few months and get things together and in order around the house.

I'm self employed, but it's taken a long time to get my friends and family to understand that I actually work, and make money, from home. They would call me during the day and not give a second thought to interrupting my work schedule, saying things like "oh you're not really working anyways, you're a stay at home mom!". But now that I've gotten a good client base and I make more than they do with their "real" jobs, they finally respect my time!

I'm not unemployed but have been there in the past. It's not a pleasant feeling, worrying if you will have enough money until you can get a new job. Right now, I work part time and those hours are not constant. I'm trying to make it more of a constant thing for me though. I am also doing things at home in order to start earning some extra money. It is my hope to eventually be able to quit my day job and work solely out of the home.

I just got layed off work! i am so mad, i mean how do small towns like i live in expect people to survive? They are even shutting down 2 schools here. I have a young brother and a wheel chair ridden mother to take care of, me being the only one here able to work, i have been stressed! No jobs here, no one is hiring, not even mcdonalds or walmart. sorry i sound so frustrated, just venting! happy holidays everyone!

I'm unemployed and catching it. I tried to get unemployment, it was denied. now come to find out my food stamps was taken away. I wish things were different and all, but I know that this is because that is how times are. This is just the way of the world now. I want to get more jobs that will allow me to stay home more. I hope that would become a reality starting by the Spring on next year.

I'm unemployed. I decided to stop working when my son was born. I've thought about returning to work, but I don't want to sacrifice my time with my son. It's very important to me.

I am unemployed by choice since June this year to relax and do some thinking about my life. While looking for new employment, I'm trying to be self-employed and staying home to take care of everybody without pay.

I still employed, I mean really employed and has to go to the office everyday. That's why, most of my response happen on week days, since my Internet at home some time so lousy in the weekend. I'm employed by choice and by situation. Can't helped. BR

I am unemployed but that's because I have no resume and no one wants to hire a guy who has never worked. How am I supposed to become a functional part of society if I haven't had a job and can't get one because of that? I have been making some money off of the internet though so I believe this will be the way I make my money.
