Should you let your dog stay outside your home or inside your home?

Lots of people love dogs. They are adorable animals and they behave like little children. I love dogs too. And I let it sleep in the bedroom. But other people don't like their dogs inside the home. If you have a dog, will you let it stay inside or outside your home?

better to stay outside the home to minimize damage inside the house. our dog stays the nside the house before got a lot of damages. eating furnitures, chowing wirings of fans, mobile chargers and breaking table stands and etc. if dogs stays outside, he can watch the outside world..realizing maybe that he's there to play his role; guards his masters, protects invaders and whatsoever

I'm all for keeping our pet dogs inside with us and was so overwhelmed at the responses. I thought I was one of the very few who kept their dogs inside. Well I have four pet dogs at home. We first had two german shepherd and so they are inside with us. I only let them out to ease themselves. Then we picked up two mongrels from the street. Our older dogs will not tolerate them so I cannot keep them inside all the time. Their kennels are very big and I give them their freedom in the compound (which they love). They spend at least three hours each inside our home too, during which time everybody pets and plays with them. They wait for this time. I have to be very careful not to get the older dogs in contact with them. I love all of them equally though.

I have a dog and she stays in the house. The only time she goes out is for her walks and to go to the bathroom. I would never have a dog and make it sleep outside! I don't like my dog sleeping on the beds, but my kids do let her sleep on their beds when they can get away with it. I usually put our dog in the kennel to sleep at night.

My dogs always stay in the house. I live in an area that has mountain lions and one of our neighbor's dogs got attacked and killed. Even so, I don't believe that people should get a dog to leave it outside day and night. Dogs are pack animals, and if you don't give them the attention they need, they will join up with other dogs and soon you have a pack of animals that will go out and kill stock and other things.
Of course the other thing is that I have two mini Dachshunds and they are a bit too small to be outside alone, LOL! When they go outside they are either supervised or put in their exercise pen which is close to the house.

My dog stays inside with me and is only ever outside when I am with him. I don't think I will ever understand why some people get a dog only to shut it outside away from its pack because the house is new, he chews up stuff, he needs more exercise and training than they can provide or whatever reason those people make up. Dogs are social creatures and crave the attention of their pack (which among domesticated dogs means their human family).

My dog is an inside dog. She is let out in the yard to spend some time. And to go potty. But she has her bed inside. I wouldn't keep her outside. She is a whippet and not truly built for the outdoors.

Dogs are also the member of a house. So,I prefer them to be inside during night. In fact, staying outside can also affect their health.

I never could understand why people would get a pet and leave it outside. Even if the dog was used as a gaurd dog, being inside would be better, because it would be a shock and surprise to the thief.
If I had a dog he would remain indoors, except when he goes for walks and out for play time, at those times I would be with the dog.
I have cats, they are inside cats. I used to live in a place where I would let them go outside, but I was there with them. Now, I live on a street with a lot of cars and trucks, and I would not let them go outside, besides the noises from the trucks scares them.
My cats are allowed to come into my bedroom, and even on my bed, I have no problem with that. They are part of my family.

My dog is an inside dog. I don't understand why someone would have a dog just to keep it outside all the time. My dog will go outside to run around and do his business but he doesn't stay outside. We are always outside with him because we don't have a fenced in yard. I feel sad for the dogs that I see outside constantly in the cold or the hot weather. Our dog actually sleeps in our bed!
