hey guys!
As many of you will propably know, gulash is a Hungarian meal and delicious as well in my opinion! But in other countries they make it an total other way! in Holland for example they make some powder as the sauce and you just have to add water and meat with it! Well, this is ofcourse not real gulash soup! Gulash soup is totally different made, and done only OUTSIDE as well! They put a big cooking pan on a fire, and they put 10 litres water in it, much potatoes, meat, garlic, peppers, tomato, and more spicy vegetables! But most of all, lots and lots of meat! which makes it ofcourse delicious! It has to cook for a long time though, so you have to start early with it! (like with a turkey) Only preparing all the ingredients for the cooking, will have you take at least 2 HOURS, if you really want to do it properly! After that, you need to still cook it for about 6 HOURS! So in total it would need 8 hours before it would be done! But you'll have REALLY a delicious meal then!
So the question is..any people who have ever made something like this? Or have eaten REAL gulash? Did you liked it? Wasn't it loads of work?
Well, share your opinion here!

I've never had a real gulash soup. When I was a kid, my Mom used to make something she always called gulash but I don't know if that's what it really was. All she did was cook macaroni, add some hamburger and tomatoes or spaghetti sauce. It was good but I'm not sure if it was really gulash.

I have eaten it years ago made by a Hungarian when I was in UK but it was cooked indoors and did not take that long to cook.
I've had an idea though....
if it takes 8 hours to cook it....
and I am 6 hours away......
because it sounds sooooooo good!
