How do you go about correcting your children?

I don't have children, but I am one of 5 and have helped raise my nieces and nephew. I think if you can't get them to listen sometimes a spanking is the only way. pretty much it's a last resort. Personally I feel that having this huge issue with spanking being child abuse is why we have so many children, teens and young adults who do whatever they want and don't listen to anyone, they had no real consequences for their actions.

Yes here we get corrected, then time out, tn grounded then last but not least spanked. And thats like are chain behavior methods. Depending on what you did to get in trouble in the frist place. You wont see me saying oh no dear you can not do that if one of my kids broke the tv or bite another child. Have to give the right correction for the right thing. You just have to use our head you dont want to go over board no more then you want to under do it. I got spanked more then I should have growing up because my mother was basicly nuts. She thought the hole world was out to ge her she drove my dad so nuts he would then spank us for her so she would shut up. He later realized she had mental issue and left her. I would have to say me and my sisters are fairly normal even having gone though that. So unless you are out of control you should have he right to spank your children ned be.
