my son is learning to speak, and he already can uttered Mama when he calls me, but lately, i was surprise when he calls me Mommy, hmm, wondering where he picked that, maybe from the television or from the neighborhood. So I corrected him, i like to be called Mama instead of Mommy, i don't know, maybe it's because that's how i called my own mother too.How about you, how do you call your mother, Mama, Mommy, Mom, Nanay etc, or perhaps, how does yours call you? which do you prefer to be called?

Since child i always call my mother "mamang". That's an Ilonggo term, which use for calling your mother. I find it sweet and with feelings when i call her "Mamang". But my mother called my granny as "nanay" i wonder why we never followed that "nanay" word for mother. Happy posting.

I used to call my mother is 'Amma'. In our regional language we are using the same instead of 'Mummy', 'Mom' etc. It means mother. My kids are calling me also 'Amma'. I like to hear this call because it shows our respect towards to the mother tongue.
