Does anyone have any songs (no matter how cheesy) that were the right song at the right time in regards to a life changing event? Growing up, breaking up, getting in a relationship, Loss of a loved one. If you have one or several list them here!
"Life is a highway" (Tom Cochrane) came out right after I got out of high school which gave me a sense of adventure for life
"Song for Mama" ( Boyz II Men) came out right after my mom died, It's still hard to hear but a really good song
"shooting stars" (Edwin McCain) came out right when I was entering that don't sweat the small stuff peak that usually comes in your late 20's/30's and it became my mantra

actually, i pick up the songs at the right time when we need it.
"No woman no cry", the song, when i was happy in bars or broke up with the ex-lover, provided me different feelings, but always suitable. no woman no cry,no woman no cry...............everything's gonna be allright........
"Tere bin nahi lagda dil mera" the great song of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan(Pakistani),even i did not know any meaning of it, just it touched my heart deeply and sadly. after i asked one guy who knows urdu, i got the meaning of the sentance" tere bin nahi lagda dil mera dorana"---"without u,my heart could not be peacful".other words in the song still could not be traslated, for it is mixed 2 languages, urdu and punjabi.
u may search and try it, see if it would follow ur next changing event. i prefer a young pakistani boy's version, his name is mussarat abbas. his vedio can be find on youtube, which about the sarigama competition in india.
