Have you ever forgotten something so basic?

I forgot a rule in basic math! I feel kinda bad. I mean I know I'm young, human, prone to error...and I'm not even operating on full capacity (I haven't slept, because I've been reverting back to insomniac tendencies).
I don't really have an ego to damage. But I'm having a "yikes" moment, lol.
Math was one of my best subjects in school, besides science...and to forget something so basic. Makes those paranoid whisperings of.. "Goodness is something wrong with your memory?" echo a bit through my head.
Before I go get some much needed sleep...do you ever have moments like this? Has this or something similiar ever happened to you?
Misery loves company, so they say.

It's probably the early signs of senility.
I suggest you follow the wise path set by Japanese commuters and play games on the way to work:

Super early, I'm not even into my late twenties yet!
I've had problems with my memory in the past, because of trauma...so I dunno.
Alzheimers also runs in the family. So it is a rather worrisome subject for me. I don't think it's much other than my not sleeping in this particular case though.
I do play games to help keep my brain active. I also read alot.
The Japanese are smart peoples

Even though your profile now says you are 8, I thought I remembered your age from last time we corresponded. And I know you're far too young to be concerned about senility.
I meant what I said in jest. I apologise; I did not consider the idea you might have family history of Alzheimer's. I don't think you took it the wrong way, but better to be safe than sorry, eh?
Yeh, I'm not that old either and I forget things all the time, especially names. I blame the lack of sleep, and perhaps the overload of information.

Well, since you have learned science well, I am sure you know that there is nothing more natural than biothythm. So , just relex and TRY to have a good sleep, and if it does not works, go to see the doctor.
Insomniac tendency sometimes evolves into big problem. LOL, maybe I have watched too much "house" recently.
good luck.

Aw, I love House. Are you referring to that episode about the girl who couldn't fall asleep and it turned out to be the plague? =) That was a good episode!
I've kinda...tested my physical limits alot when I was younger, I've gone much much longer without sleep than lately. It's just now that I'm older I can't really do it as well as I used to it seems ^_^
I do try to take care of myself better most days, these days -- I just tend to be a workaholic and this leads to me to staying up much longer than I should.
It especially happens when I'm onto something, or on a roll learning something or creating something (like when I'm working on a book).
I forget I need to sleep in these instances.
I can't afford a doctor anyway, so it's probably good I do take care of myself more these days, huh? Haha.

well, you really should treat yourself better. LOL,I myself stay up late into 3 o'clock for almost three years. So,it sounds ridicuous that I suggest you to have more rest. Anyway, I am trying to adopt a more healthy lifestyle, say, going to bed before one o'clock, getting up six in the moring, after eight unforgivable.
Well, getting up in time seems much harder than going to bed in time, and I am sure I have been addicted to coffee.
So, good luck for both of us.

It happens. I almost forget something basic everyday. My damn memory is very poor sometimes though I am kind of good at math too. Shame on me

yeah, I have forgotten "basic" stuff too. What exactly did you forget? I know that feeling and I overpunished myself because it was such an easy rule.

It's no big deal, happens to me all the time. It can be easy to overlook the most basic stuff some times. Especially while depriving yourself of sleep, lol. Get some rest, and get back in these boards with a fresh mind and dish out some political whoopass. Peace. :)
