recently,im working on my exam for part-time undergraduate extrance, that means if i pass the exam ,i can keep my job and study on holidays.and it will help a lot to my job.its not so difficult, but i seldom have time to prepare ___ i also need to do many other things besides my work, like having fun here in MYLOT.the exam is coming in 25 days, and i havent learnt much.i study late these days, and suffer from bad eye-sight both today and yesterday_i cant see clearly even in clear sunny day like today! i feel a lot of pressure about the exam. i am not a person who gives up easily. im so determined. but maybe its not right. if things wont turn out well, do you tend to give up before it ends?i have two minds now.sometimes perhaps its not bad to give up ,what do you say?

I don't tend to give up when I'm tired, but just like anyone else, I may have the tendancy to want to. When that feeling comes over you, you just got to take some deep breaths (as many as you need), or go for a walk, and last but not least, pray to have the strength to go on. I am 50 year old grandmama who is trying to take a series of classes online. (Word, the Powerpoint, then Excel). I just started yesterday, I became so overwhelmed, that I wanted to cry, give up and drop the class. But I have a week to study and get it together. I know that I am relativly smart, so I meditated on the problem; and realized that one of the main problems was I want to catch on and suceed too fast. So I logged off, and decided to take a fresh run at it this evening. Wish me luck. I know that these online classes are a godsend, and time wise the best option for me. So let's let the old motto be ours, "Quitting is not an Option."

hi,dear grandmama, among all these thoughtful responses, yours encourages me with your own experience. thanks for your sharing with me.i learn form your response and others' that i really need a good rest, and then start over again.yes, i do agree that quitting is not an option. if you give up ,things come to an end.no person here in Mylot says that he is a quitter.fighting!

This is the human nature that he wants to take rest after a workout and this depends on what kind of work he is doing i.e how important is the importance of the work to be done.
IN my case yes being a normal human being I too tend to give up when I feel tired and full of fatigue.

To me this exam sounds pretty important, I have to say Im stubborn and Im not one to give up on things. I think things do change for people thou, and some things that were once soooo important change.
In your instance thou, it sounds like it would be important as it would help you with keeping your job and then just studying on holidays. As I said thou maybe things have changed in your life.
It does sound like maybe glasses would help you in the eyesight department. I know my eyes get tired and blurry and that is from the strain of looking at a monitor and doing the reading I do.
Good luck in whatever you decide!

Giving up is really not an option for me. But I have to admit, the thought would cross my mind every now and then especially when I'm really tired and stressed out.
What I would do when I'm really tired is get some rest, eat good food and read a good book. After that, I'll be energized and refreshed to do what am I supposed to do again.
I think what you need is a break. A day would do. Just relax and rest. I'm sure you'll be refreshed after that to study for your exams again. Wish you all the best.;D

If what I am doing is important and I can reach it, I won't give up. To tell the truth, I know what's within or beyond me. It seems you want to study and play at the same time. "Mylot" is forever waiting for you, but 25 days isn't. You really should think it over. Don't quit, everything will be ok.

I don't really give up, I'm a go getter. When I'm tired and it seems that I can't do anything no more, I would just cry,lol then continue, after that I would just laugh at myself for crying like a baby.
Now with your last line, it's not really bad to give up,it's true. I believe in destiny, u know if it meant for you, then if will be, if not no matter how hard you try it it won't. The question is how do you know? for me, guess If I tried harder and still not getting anywhere, or even near to success I'll forget about it and move on to the next. There are many fish in the sea. get the thought.happy mylotting.

You should never really give up. Maybe you should move around some priorites, or just cut back on some of the unnecessary things that you're doing right now. The exam seems like it could be helpful to you if you should pass, I would just try to focus mainly on that. Just make sure that you take plenty of breaks and try to make a little time to relax sometime if you're able to. And just think, if you pass the exam, you can do something to celebrate.

You do not have to give up when you are tired.
Personally, i just take a break or a breather and go back to the "fight." Or maybe you need to set some things in order. I always keep in mind what my auntie told me before. She said that when some pain hits you, it is like a memo that something needs to be in order. Check your priorities, your schedule, how you manage your life and your health. Then re-set them, take a break, and go on, finish what you have started. If things don't turn out well, at least you did not give up. And there is always another chance to start again.
Good luck!

Don't give up.. I think it's bad to give up.. I can relate to your situation I am working mother at the same time I have a obligation to care my 9 months old son.. Sometimes I want to give up because I was tired of my routine everyday. Woked and home..
Goodluck to your exam I hope you pass..

i tend to when i get really tired it seems like i lose my will to do anything when i get tired that is why i need good sleep and my mind needs to be clear from all distractions because esp. during a test i start to nod a lil and once i start to nod then its over i lose my focus and i dont feel like doing or completing anything that has to do with work.

To tell the truth,I ever have the thought of giving up.But giving up cannot solve problems. So,always,I forced myself to push forward.Remember always sunshine after the sun.I think if we don't give up and cheer up to defeat the difficulties,we will succeed. If you think you can,you can.

hi sweetyethot!
i do't think ill be using the word GIVE UP because i don't literally give up on things even though i feel so tired with what i do. the more it motivates me to work on it harder to make a better outcome.
don't ever give up when you feel tired because the efforts you exert on it will give you postive rewards.
take time to unwind and take a rest from all the activities you have been on so when your exam day comes, you feel fresh and worry free
happy posting and happy mylotting!

I have this tendency to push myself really hard
even if I'm at the point of exhaustion whether physically or mentally.
However, if things aren't turning out the way I want them to go
then it's already a sign for me to "rest"...not give up...
just rest and refresh my mind or
let it wander off to other less stressful thoughts.
If after a while and things really seem futile
after so many attempts
then that's the time that i give up.
Giving up isn't really bad.
It necessarily make anybody a loser.
Knowing when to give up is actually a tougher decision to make.

Sometimes if you are tired you first need to rest and the possibly do something that you enjoy for a few minutes. If you study in portions at a time that is helpful also. If you study a great amount of material at once sometimes it can be so overwhelming that you tire just from the thought of all that you have to master. do not give up just really pace your self as much as possible.

Please don't give up on this, the rewards after are wonderful. Maybe you have to give up on the things not so important and give more focus on want you really want to do with your life. Maybe having so much fun will have to be lessened for the time-being? And you have to have your eyes examined or else you can't study more and do more on mylot :)

Don't give up...For me its always bad to give up...When I get tired or feel like giving up something i take a short break and keep aside all worry and try to relax and have fun...we all go through this but if you don't give up the result will sure be worth the hard work...remembering this point helps me to go on also...All The Best for your Exams..
