Yes! I definitely thing parents have the right to spank. The right to SPANK, not ABUSE!!! I think that if children were brought up with a little more disipline there would be alot less crimes in this world. People have just let their kids go now-a-days. Because they are afraid to spank for fear of being accussed of abuse. It's crazy!

I will be honest with you I think we should have the right to spank. Not to abuse them but to get them to understand the punishment is severe. I have 4 children and have delt with the court system on this matter. I had to go to court on charges of abuse for spanking my girls. I was told I used a deadly weapon because I used a belt and I threatend my daughters life because I told her if she didn't get back inside I would hurt her more when she said it hurt. What did she think it would feel like? I don't believe in abusing the kids but when I was youngerI was spanked and knew that I would be punished if I did something wrong. My kids hear all about spanking in school and it being abuse and will tell me if I spank them they will call social services. How does the court system think we can keep our children out of trouble if they will not allow us to punish them?
