What do you think of contact with beings from other planets?

I read somewhere that 'The European Organisation for Nuclear Research has been experimenting with conditions which would allow beings from other universes the access to our planet through a hole in the space-time continuum' What do you think of this? Would you embrace contact from beings from other planets? Are you interested in knowing about life on other planets? Should these beings from other universes be allowed access to our planet? Should we be carrying out experimentation of this kind?

haha.. That seems interesting ^_^ I believe other than humans, there are other spieces of living things somewhere out there, such as aliens and 'vegetable men' ^_^ hehe =D As long as there are lives, its possible that they can take the form of humans, just that we dunno ^_^ And they can be right beside us or even our frenz.. haha =D BUT i believe, there are really other beings in our planet, and that we might even be studied by them, for all we know?? hehe

Yeah, they may already be studying us even without this legislation required! It is a bit scary to grant them 'access to earth' when we're not entirely sure who they are or what they're like...but I guess there's no way of knowing, maybe they plan to try and contact them

I don't think we should be experimenting with things like this, I say if there is other beings out there, then just leave them alone. They would probably want to be left alone, I'm not interested about life on other planets, I think if God wanted us to know all that he would of told us, or made a way for us to find out.

I am not one for aliens or the theories out there so not keen on the idea, would be interesting to hear the reasons why they would grant them access Maybe research has been inconclusive and they want them to contact us and then that way they have a medium... I hope it doesn't backfire.

Well, we may get a message from them but as our reply would take two million years years to get back to them I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer! The nearest universe to us is the Andromeda Galaxy which is about 2 million light years away.

And that galaxy is not another universe, it is just another galaxy within the same universe.

Of course I am very interested in chating with an alien. Will it be realize druing my life time? It is hard to imagine somehow. Anyway, I still believe that everything is possible. Thus people can say that some can't come true. Who knows? Long long ago, people just know people from their own country. They don't know that the world are so large. Maybe, a long long time later, we can commuciate freely with people from other planet. Like traveling from one city to another city, the aliens should be welcomed supposed they have no conspiracy.

No I don't think right now we should be doing anything in space. But then that is not my call. They talk about the ozone layer and we are hurting it. Then they sent up a ship right through the thing. And as far as the other being's. Well, hey why not we have everyone else coming and going. So why not them as long as there as nice as us.As if we are all that nice. They would cut them down first and then cut them up. So I say no as we are not all that nice. At least to them we wouldn't be. Have a nice day. Your friend onlydia

I am not sure of their existence, though I would like to know there are other beings in this universe other than on earth. If these beings do exist it takes a lot of time to trust them, then only comes the point of allowing access to earth. Wish only we can control that if it comes to that point of those beings willing to come here

Hmmm, kinda my exact thoughts... can they be trusted? if we haven't got a clue who or what they are?

i think there are a lot of things our governments do not tell us and this is one of them in my eyes i think its naive to assume we are the only beings in the whole solar system and i think people are and have been trying to contact other beings for some time and will continue to do so without us knowing about this

I don't believe for a minute that our technology has progressed far enough to do this. As it is we can hardly get off our own planet. I believe if this is possible, it is inviting great danger. We are completely and utterly unprepared and although we may meet other races that are friendly, there is an equal chance of meeting hostile races which could destroy us easily. Without any type of means to defend ourselves from an assault from space or means of travelling faster than sublight speeds, we would stand little, if any chance against a hostile enemy.

Hi marina, To be honest with you I don't really believe in aleins, and I think this world should try and cope with their problems like stopping wars in stead of trying to fine aleiens on another planets. Tamara

Hey marina, Well this is interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I guess if they are friendly the could come and visit? I don't know if we should be leaving holes open for easy access or not. I wouldn't want to wake up and find one standing in my bedroom, would you? Under controlled circumstances it might be ok. I don't think we have enough information for making a decision on this. But if there are beings out there and I believe that there is a good possibility then maybe they can help us find cures for diseases and help us with other things so why not?

I would be fascinated, but if they've been here before, why would they need a black hole in our S/t/c? Makes no sense...

"contact on other planets" is not going to happen. IF we find life on other planets (more likely) it will be bacteria or possibly primitive plants.

I think it's pretty cool, we could learn and benifit from other beings. I would embrace being able to contact with them fully. I am very interested in knowing about life on other planets, I would like to know what they eat and how they survive. I think they should be able to access our planet, because we don't own it we just live on it, people should be able to come and go as they please. We shouldn't carry out experimentation while they are living, maybe if they die. I think that it would be very interesting to meet a being from another planet.

Well, I believe in Angels and they don't come from Earth. Since they are older than the Earth itself, I believe they may have existed on another planet before ascending to Heaven. So, in a way, all of us have had contacts with extraterrestrial beings. I believe God limits what beings can have contact with us and controls everything in subspace. As for the experiments you mentioned, I think they're all based on theories and they aren't even close to be able to do what they think they can do.

I dont have an answer for this , are you talking about the proton bombardment ? i dont understand why cant the aliens now invade our planet , where will the whole be made?? i think i need to be very strong in this science .. lol..

I love it when we experiment because it means we could learn something. But on the other hand, if there IS anything to access our planet in such a manner, who's to say it's friendly? Shouldn't we also be trying to develop means of defending ourselves just in case? Or maybe some means of containment for something that might come through. It could be a giant angry amoeba for all we know, lol. However, it'd be REALLY interesting to contact another intelligent species -- or get to see what other sorts of life are out and about other than us. ...I'm curious about everything by nature, lol.

I think there is other life out there. We would be conceited to think otherwise. I would welcome the contact IF they were friendly. The problem is, I have watched every episode of Stargate at least 50 times and it scares me to the the aliens like the Gou'ald could be out there.

I think that this is a great idea! Knowledge and exploration is vital and I think that any possible communication from beings of another world is essential. I'm just hoping that they don't take the guise of the aliens in the movies, quite scary! I always wonder about this! We are here so there must be others out there in the grand old Universe! It just seems impossible to believe that we are the only species! I really have the utmost respect for our scientists who are endevouring to push the human race even further afield! Good luck to them. Andrew

I read some books on being from other planet years ago. I believe they exist and should be allowed to come to our planet. I think the experiments should be made public and let us know about the beings. All of that is all so secret.
