no, cell phones should not be banned in schools.. the use of it should only be regulated by the school officials but not be banned.. the use of cellphones are very important for students for emergency purposes... it also useful for groupworks, when students need to meet up with other students for their group works or thesis...

Yes, I agree that cellphones are sometimes misused by teens and even to the extent of being abused by them. They are obsessed by them that they forget their assignments and fail to study their lessons. I am quite glad that the high school department of St. Paul University banned the use of cellphones among its high school students.

I believe they should not be banned entirely, students should be allowed to take them into school with them but they should not be allowed to use them once they are in class.

The number of students who hold cellphones increaces fast recently.Not only college students ,but also middle school students and even primary school student begin to own their cellphone.There is no relative rules to ban students from using cellphones when they are in school.However when a class is being held on ,they will be asked not to use it .In my opnion ,for high school and college students, it is necessary to own one ,but should not abuse it .For example ,when there goes a meeting ,conference or lecture,they should learn to respect others.

I don't think banning would work, at my daughter's school ipods are really banned and kids find a way to take them anyways, cells phones are required to be off during classes and yet they text during classes as well. Teachers are not strong in dicipline in some areas so what good would a cell ban do?

yes the cellphones should be banned because they are misused in collegues and schools . in some colleges and schools the cellphones are already banned

it has been banned in some colleges in our country and the worst part is that the parents are the ones who are most against it and so do the students(natural for them) but it can be a nice way to direct students to make their energies go in a straight direction and that is study!
