I'm a big fan of Windows Mobile as opposed to Palm OS. That said, I LOVE my Treo!! Before I bought a smart phone I did some research. I liked the Blackberrys OK. Since I got my Treo, BB's come out with the Pearl and Curve which were nicely designed. They're so cute and small but I honestly like the weight in my Treo. I wish the screen was larger and that the camera had a flash but other than that it's awesome! The touch screen is great. You don't have to waste time clicking through different menus to get to the programs you use every day. When I listen to my mp3s on it, it sounds like a stereo and not a phone. It's SO loud. When I was traveling for work, the company cars didn't have CD players, just a tape deck (cheap-o) so I would just play the music off of my phone. Problem solved. So who is better? Treo or Blackberry? I can't wait for the Treo Pro to come out even though I think it looks ugly. Treo didn't do much as far as design goes especially between the 600 and 755. I don't think Treo is a good company when it comes to the physical design of its phones but their phones offer so many options and functionalities that people are willing to overlook that shortcoming. Blackberrys look nice but don't offer as much as the Treo. Maybe? What say you?

I guess everyone has their own preference... Due to change in my job position few months ago, I was in a need to get a smart phone... I even borrowed i-phone, both older version & new 3g version, from a friend of mine while he was on vacation over seas... I didn't like it at all... I even thought about getting Plam phones... Instead, I ended up with blackberry pearl 8120... I do have palm pilot so I'm somewhat familiar with treos... Now I'm glad I got my blackberry... As far as basic functions of palm pilot & having used blackberry, I like blackberry a lot better... I understand there's a lot of difference between having a palm pilot & having treo but I'm talking about basic screen functions & some of the basic software functions... Basically, in my opinion, treo is a glorified palm pilot, or palm pilot with phone, & ok camera, built into it... I mean it's a great phone, don't get me wrong... It's just not for me... Other than touch screen, which I'm not too happy with, my blackberry does everything that my palm pilot does, functions I need anyway... Just for the record, my palm pilot's model # is tungsten t3... I know it's a bit old, like 5 years old, but still kicking...

Nice. I thought about getting the iPhone but I didn't want to be part of the hype. That and I am not a fan of the touchscreen keyboard. I have absolutely no problems typing on my Treo and it's got the full QWERTY as is standard with most Treos now. The interface on the Blackberry is a little odd for me but my sister loves her Pearl. Not sure when the Pro is coming out for Verizon. There have been rumours but nothing official. I've heard it may be available as early as December!! I can't wait to see it!

I'm not too fond of touch screen either... I feel like I'm gonna break it... I know that's not really justified because I managed to keep my palm pilot from breaking for past 5 years... With my blackberry, I hardly use my plam pilot anymore... All the schedules & such, I keep in my bb phone... BB has enough memory to hold most of my contact list in it, with their full address... I do keep the palm pilot around just in case but not much more than to dump my pictures from my phone to it... But then again, I have 4 gig memory card in my phone so I don't even need to do that... I've gone 2 weeks taking pictures - for work purpose - with out having to empty out the memory card... It even has wi-fi built into it & I can even make my phone into "VoiP" phone... I'm with T-Mobile & if I'm not mistaken, they're the only one cell. phone service provider that their phones can act as voip phones... As long as there's an open wireless router, I'll never loose the signal... I'm really attached to my pearl, not to say I won't ever change my mind or they won't come out with better ones that I'd rather have but for now, I'm happy with pearl...
