does fair skin mean beauty....why do indian men think so

as an asian i hear that fair skin is always 'pretty' and stuff. but i like the tan look. so its all about preferences

Western people find those of the east exotic and attractive, Eastern people find those of the west exotic and attractive. They are different and different equals unusual, which makes something more attractive, physically. As they say; "the grass is always greener on the other side." This goes for almost every aspect of life. That's just the way things are. However, I don't think that Asian men would rather choose a fair skinned woman as a life partner simply for her fair skin. These are fantasy women; women they like to think about. They are not, for the most part, women they want to spend their lives with. That's a choice based on personality (again, for the most part).

Who says that Indian people think that being fare means beauty o them...I am an Indian...And I never came across such a topic ever...Coming to your point.I never agree that fair skin means beauty...In my opinion, beauty is the attraction and the glow in persons face...Even people who have brown skin,look beautiful and attractive.Its also said that beauty comes from our heart but not from our skin...Have a nice day..!!

No, fair skin dose not mean beauty, I believe that beauty is with in you and is based on your personality if you have a nice or funny personality then you are a beautiful person. It has nothing to do with how fair your skin is and also believe in some way the would afend some people. I know if a man told me that and that is the way he thinks I would be afended and would also be a little upset.

Since I am asian...I have always wanted to have fair skin. Maybe coz seeing fair skin is normal to me.
