Yes you read it right. The end is here finally for me in Minnesota and my veggies. This is my brocholi plants. I let them flower and it is getting cold at night now. Soon we will get our first frost which will kill the garden off finally. I will miss being out back weeding, picking etc. But then again I am hyped about the new areas I plan as well for next year. Are you done gardening etc this year? I've seen some friends at the other side of the world just starting their veggies. I will miss my gardening tasks for a few months. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Awww, so sorry to hear about your gardening coming to an end for this year but as the saying goes "all good things must come to an end". Just think though, you have a new computer and fixing to have new TV/DVR and all those goodies to keep you busy and then there is of course that precious Lil Princess you can always go visit.

Well, like I already stated in another discussion of yours, we live in a Condo so we are not able to have a Garden here. So we do not have that pleasure. We wanted to just plant flowers and such in front of our entrance, and were told no. They paid Gardeners and such to do that, and unfortunately let it look quite weedy and overgrown most of the time instead.

Yes we are just starting to plant our vegetables and hope they come out well. Its so strange the nature has provided a balance for us to survive. If we were not tis civilised may be you would have been planning to move with your group in search of greener pastures at this time of the year. Sometimes it makes me wonder how far have we come in that respect.

We also have a small garden at home. It was owned by our landlord actually yet we are permitted to get some vegies there sometimes. I have tried gardening too and it's really a fulfilling hobby to do especially that you see your plants grow and bloom.

I didn't really get heavily into gardening this first year in my new (very first!) home of my very own. But I know what I plan for next year and I'll be enjoying all the chores and joys of gardening! I will miss puttering about with my flowers but I also now know how to have a better flower bed and what type of vegetables I want to put in. Next year is going to be wonderful! Now, start making those Christmas presents, address those cards, plan next year's garden and maybe a plan to profit from it.

Hi GRANDPA BOB, Yes its quite sad its all over till next years, my tomatoes turned out bad because of the bad weather we had, I only managed to get four nice juicey ones but rest went bad befor it can grow bigger and ripen. Tamara

I don't have a garden, as I live in an apartment. Though, I enjoyed eating some of the fruitage of my dad's garden. I'll miss that. Wish I grow more things in my apartment. Happy gardening (next year).

I'm sorry that that happened to your garden. I also have a garden and it really stinks that you got frost bite soooo early in the year and it killed off your plants. You can always put a paper bad over your plants to keep them warm at night ^^

hi grandpa Bob oh my thats right, its going to get cold at night there and then the frosts. oh my and then your lovely garden id done for. But you really did have a lot of produce from your garden a nd think of all the money you saved too. Nice fresh veggies home grown and full of flavor. I never did get a chance to garden here and now in two weeks will be moving to a different town further up in Northern California. I know you will miss all your gardening chores, but you will be planning next years garden I am sure and that will be fun too.

Hi grandpa Bob, Isn't gardening a fun thing? I love it. If I had more time, I think I be in my garden all day. I love seeing the blooms and fruits etc that I can enjoy. For us it is time to prepare our garden for the spring blooms like tulips etc. I can't wait until spring, so I can plant some new fruit treees.
