Before I knew about the Fuji apple, red apples were my favourite. Granny Smiths were OK but I like the sweetness in the red apple. But I was picky about which red apple I ate. I don't like soft, mushy apples. I LOVE for them to be hard. There's nothing like biting into an apple and hearing that crunch and feeling the juiciness drip down the sides of your mouth. Mmmmm...Well, it seemed like all the red apples I ate were mushy. When I did find one that wasn't soft it just didn't taste good. Then one day when I was visiting with a friend, her mum offered me an apple. She was so sweet. She peeled it and cut it up into slices for me :D Well, I took one bite and there began my obsession with Fuji apples. I can't think of a Fuji that I've eaten that wasn't good. Galas are OK too. Probably my second favourite. Don't get me started on those caramel apples :P Granny Smith apples are perfect for that. That sour taste mixed with the sweetness of the caramel...

GALA Apples!!!
definitely my favorite. they are crispy and juicy on the inside with such a sweet taste. before i found out about Gala apples, i was a huge Granny Smith fan. Something about the tartness and the juiciness about it really appealed to me!
..I don't think i've tried the Fuji apple, but it'll definitely be on my next shopping list.
you know, i had the same problem with red apples, i found them all to be mushy and had a horrible texture and it was really NOT enjoyable...i wonder why they were like that

Galas are my second fav apple. They are similar to Fujis. BELIEVE me. You will LOVE the Fuji. Crispiness and juiciness like no other apple. PLEASE come back and tell us what you thought of the Fuji once you've tried it. I'd like to know if maybe we've persuaded you to come to the Fuji side ;)

I came to this interest to say the exact same thing about Fuji apples! They are absolutely my favorite apples! I like crisp textured apples too - and like you said there's never been a time where I've ever eaten a bad Fuji apple. For some reason they never go bad - how does that happen? I don't generally use it as a cooking apple though - it does stay crisp - but maybe too crisp for something like a pie. But yes, Fuji apples are the best!

I do like all kind of apples. I like the green ones as well but must admit that Fuji apples are great!! I originally found out about them years back when I was visiting my aunt in colorado. she went shopping and buys alot of healthy suff. She bought them, and I tried them. Since then I buy those all the time. Another good brand is apple crisps. Not sure when those are in season...but they are very good too.
