text messaging has become the "in" thing to do! do you prefer the old fashioned way of talking on the phone and making plans with your friends or are you new age with text messaging? me personally, i text way more than i talk. i'm at work from 9-5 everyday and since i cant talk on my cellphone while im working i usually text which makes things a lot easier.

I think that texting is very unpersonable. Its like society does not ever want to talk face to face anymore.. It is fine for quick notes, but comunication is so much more then the words we use, there is tone and facial expressions that you cant see when you text.

i agree with you, but nowadays technology is considered the easiest way to communicate with one another because we are all so busy with other things. look at the dating world...people are meeting people online constantly and it becomes harder and harder to meet people in person because no one knows how to socialize anymore

I usually text my dh while he's at work but he usually doens't have the time to look or even reply back. And since we gave up our fancy plan w/ tons of minutes that we didn't use I prefer to use a land line. Have you any idea how long my Aunt or MIL can talk in a day???? TOO MUCH!

If I had some sort of texting plan, I would prefer to text people rather than call them. But, then comes the issue of whether or not they have one themselves, or whether or not they know how to read a text message. That would result in them calling me back, thus defeating my purpose. Also, I would rather text someone rather than talk to them in real life, even if I was standing right next to them. My biggest problem is that I have, and have always, hated my voice and my mouth. The only thing good about it is that I can shove food in to it. Yum.

for me id rather talk than sit there and push buttons the whole time and wait for a response and so on. and if i have something long to say i honestly dont want to type all that out even using short cuts in the texting part takes to long really.

Well I don't work so I would perfer to talk and the taxt cost 10 cents to text for every text you text. So I'd like talk where at a 9:00pm it free to talk I love that because I really don't talk that much and the only person I talk to dose get off work until 9:00pm it works for me and my bill is not as high.
