Great movie.

I just wanted to be the first to post just how awesome this movie is. There are so many layers of greatness in this film and little moments that just make you feel the characters and want to keep watching them. Anyone who says that this movie is just about the adult industry just doesn't get it. This film is brilliant. It is my favourite Mark Wahlberg performance. The DVD is also great. In my opinion, I think the commentary and behind-the-scenes are just as much fun to watch as the movie itself.

One of my favorites, though I prefer Anderson's MAGNOLIA over Boogie Nights.

I totally agree with you on this! Boogie Nights is a film that really draws you in. It's one of those movies that you walk away from feeling like you were there experiencing everything that the characters did. I love how all of the main characters' personalities developed throughout the film so that we could see things from each of their perspectives.
I really enjoy movies that combine drama and comedy and this is one that does that remarkably well. I also think that the selection of music in this film was fantastic. The soundtrack enhances the scenes brilliantly. To anyone who wants to sit back and be immersed in a great movie, I would recommend watching Boogie Nights.
