Do you buy clothes for others?

This morning I had a discussion with my Sweetie about buying clothes. I told him about a sale a store in the mall was having. I didn't buy anything for myself, because I didn't want to spend the money, though there was something I liked. He said, "You could have bought me something." I told him I will not buy him clothes. Not because I'm thoughtless or selfish, but because what I like is different from what he likes. I bought him two shirts for his birthday. He has worn one more than a few times. He's never worn the other. A couple weeks ago we were at the mall, and I was showing him shirts I'd like to see him in. He said he wouldn't be caught dead in them. My kids, all teenagers, are picky, too. I've stopped buying them clothes, unless we're shopping together and they pick something they like. Do you buy clothes for other people?

Not usualy, I hate tring to buy clothe for others since I usualy end up getting the wrong size or something they don't like. If I know of a certain place that people like to shop or something then I will get them a gift certificate for them or just find something else for them.

That sounds like a safe way to go.

I can relate to this. My hubby is picky and when I buy him a shirt or something he usually hates it or it doesn't fit. So I gave up, buy it yourself I say. The down side is he drags me around shopping for clothes for him then he asks my opinion anyways! Men, can't live with them, can't live without them!

I am very lucky lol my children are only 2 and 3 years old so i choose and purchase all of their clothes my husband on the other hand will never let me pick clothes for him, we have totally different styles and tastes and i would never let him pick clothing for me either so i do buy clothes for others but do a 2 and 3 year old count lol as they hardly have an oppinion at the moment anyway lol!

Ah yes, I remember the days when my kids were little and too young to have an opinion. Wait until your kids become teenagers. I wish you good luck with that! Thanks for responding.
