Try to go the whole month without eating out at all!! I am going to do this. Save some money and maybe lose some weight. Ha ha. Lets see how we can all do this.

I misread your post when I first read it. I thought you said you were going one month without eating. Now I see you actually said "eating out". That's very different. Too funny!
The idea of not eating out is actually a very good idea. Our family lives on a tight budget. We can generally make it to the end of the month without running out of money if we cook and eat most of our food at home. The biggest money drain, I find, is fast food. McDonalds, Starbucks (or Tim Hortons--very popular here in Canada)or the food court at the mall...all very tempting and all too easy to end up dropping $20-$30 when all we want to do is "grab a quick bite".
I may try your idea myself for one month in the future. Not this month, though, as I have some social obligations coming up this month that will likely require food on the road. Avoiding eating out is not as easy as it sounds.
As for the not eating...I wouldn't recommend it.

I getting ready to reply to your other post!! LOL. That would be hard to eat nothing at all. HAHA.
Just eat at home and home cooked meals and no eating out at all. I am going to go a bit further and not buy any coffee out either, just make it at home and take with me in a thermos style mug. That will save a lot right there.

I do the same thing myself. I realized that one of my biggest expenses was to stop for a coffee and bagel every morning before work. We have a Tim Horton's just down the corner from my office and it is just too easy to stop for breakfast.
A large coffee + bagel with cream cheese usually costs $3.34. Multiply by 5 days a week, four weeks a month, that equals...well, quite a bit.
Now I make myself a peanut butter sandwich for the road and take my travel mug with me to work. Fortunately we have a machine at work and get our coffee for free. Not the same as Timmies but decent enough.
Good for you for making the change! The hardest part is breaking the habit of going out, but after a while you will get used to bringing a mug. Eventually you will start to notice a difference to your wallet.

I can do that one easy, I don't have the money to eat out even if it's from a buffet. Though if someone else is buying I"m game !!! ;)

We don't eat out that often at all, most of time it is like once or twice a year. So we cannot save any money doing that. However I do try and save when doing the ordinairy grocery shopping. I always buy the cheap products and spice them up myself. Same with clothes I only buy those when it is really needed. Everything else we don't need I do not buy. Try a month without luxury (not sure I wrote that right) products, and see how much you can save.

I think I would get depressed if I didnt eat out at all. I enjoy it and I would really feel something was missing if I didnt do it at all one month. Less would probably be helpful though. It couldnt hurt.

It is not hard for me to meet your challenge. I am broke, and struggling to pay for neccessities. Not eating out would not be a challenge for me for that reason. I didn't eat out much before my crisis, so eating out now is not something that would be on my agenda.

I think that is a great plan. It is my Hubbys birthday month so I figure we will go out at least once but I would like to join your challenge. I will stick to two meals out and both for the hubbys birthday.
Giving challenges is a great idea. I think we should have a new challenge each month if not more then a few. Great idea!
