Are you happy with your height?

I have always been tall, always one of the tallest girls in my class. When I was in school, I did not like being tall. Then people started asking me if I was a model, or that I should be a model. I then started to accept my height, (i couldn't do anything about it anyway) I am happy with my height now, I am 5'8. As long as I am not taller than my husband it is okay, he is 6'0. How tall are you and are you happy with your height, would you like to be taller or shorter if you could?

I am 5t 3 1/2 inches, I was second to the shortest in my high school graduation class, I have been called short all my life, it didn't bother me because where I was short I made up for it in other areas, I had, you hear me Had, a knock out figure when I was young. I had the body of a and I quote ("Brick House". ) If you know what I mean.

I always thought that shorter people were happy with their height. I guess I thought this because I was so tall and wanted to be shorter. Yes, there are some styles that will look better on, if you are taller. I am sure you look good in whatever you wear. Thanks for responding and have a good day.

Yes, to some degree. But, I would like to be a little taller, say 5'5.. That would be a nice height for me. I am 5'2 almost 5'3.. If I am taller, I won't look the weight that I am with the height that I have as of now..

wow good question! I must say I'm quite happy with my height! For me, it's perfect..But some people may think other though! Like my father, he doesn't like that I'm taller that him! But I'm still happy with it! I guess in feets and inches, I believe I'm aroun 6"7 or 6"8..Some people may think it's long, but I disagree..I'm happy with it, and that's the most important thing!

At the moment i'm 6ft so hoping i've finally stopped growing now...at 22 I hope I have. I know exactly what you mean during my time at school people used to take the mickey but nowadays I use it to my advantage. Whether it's getting served at a bar quicker or being able to see over a the heads of a big crowd when I go to concerts or gigs. As far as I can see it's only ever been as asset to me I like standing out and being different and that helps make me who I am. Just recently I went to a Dragonforce gig had just arrived and was just making my way to get in queue when my height must have caught one of roadies eyes and he came and gave me backstage pass to meet band after show. I was made up with this. So in relation to your question so what if i'm about 6ft4 in heels...I love my height and wouldn't change it for the world now. Plus the fact it's nice everyone looking up to you LOL

I am 5'4" and I would just love to be taller. I would love to be really tall. I'm not sure why, exactly. I think I would like the way clothes looked on me better and a few things like that. I'm not terribly unhappy with my height, I just feel a little trapped in medium land. Oh..... and it would be nice to not have to use a step stool to reach so many things in my home.

Until the age of 11 years I shot up like a wild weed. I remember my Dad laughing one day and telling me that I was going to be taller than both him and my mum the way I was growing. I never grew another inch, I stopped at 5ft 2 inches, and I always tell my dad that it was his fault! I am small, my 16 year old son is taller than me, in fact he towers me as he is 5ft 7 inches and still growing! I would not say I am unhappy with my height now, I used to be. The only time I do not like it is when I am in a crowded place and everyone is taller than me, I tend to feel a bit panicky.

Funny, when my son was in grade school, he was one of the shortest kids, the girls were even taller than him. Probably when he was about sixteen, he shout up, now he is 6'2.

NO!!! only being 5'1" is hard. it is harder to stay thin because every pound shows when you are short. there are no long legs or long torsos for me. so i just look heavy even when i am at an ideal weight because i am also busty. i can never reach anything on the top shelf at the grocery store or in my home in the cabinets and my 7 year old son is now less than one foot shorter than me. i would not want to be really tall but i would like to be at least 5'5".

Children grow so fast, your son will soon be your height or taller. Yeah, even with the ideal weight being shorter will make you look heavier. Sometimes the pattern of the clothing you wear can give you the appearance of looking slimmer. Thanks for responding, have a great day.

HI. I'm 5'6 and I am quite happy with my height. I am tall enough not to be short and short enough not to be tall. I guess what you'd say is that I am average.

I am definitely not happy with my height! I am about 5'7 and it's pretty short for a guy I guess. I wish I am about 6'1 or something. =(. What is your diet like? Maybe I can grow taller with your diet. LOL.

Honestly, most times i love my height (90%) and some times i dont (10%). I am 5'10'' and i have been this tall since i was like 17. I use to hate it cause i was always taller then the boys, and it was a pain in the a$$ to find pants long enough. I wear 3 and 4 inch heels and it does get annoying when someone makes an ignorant comment about how i shouldnt be wearing heels cause im too tall. I have a thin but shapely build and i too get told almost daily that i should be a model or be on Americas next top model. I am over the fact that i am as tall as most guys; i sometimes date men who are slightly shorter then me (i like a man for him not the length of his legs). And as far as finding pants long enough i no longer have that problem; over the years i have found brands and stores that have waist and inseams measurements or have long lengths. I love my height cause i never seem to gain weight; i have to gain like 15 to 20 lbs before it even looks like i gained 5. And my clothes fit my slim frame beautifully. Last i really dont mind the attention i get when i go out cause if if ever ended i would feel kinda sad. Its kinda hard not to notice me, so i dont ever think people would not. lol.

Thank you very much, but i was not alway so confident. I was teased quite a bit growing up and i was very self-conscience. The other children would pick my whole body apart, even the way i spoke. I would come home crying almost everyday in jr. high. People can sense your energy and if your energy tells people that you are insecure they will take advantage of it. I just decided to love myself and not give a damn about anyone else's opinion of me(opinions are like a$$ holes and you kno what they say bout a$$holes) I believe in living and let living. As long as what you believe in doesnt infringe upon anyone else's beliefs then your all good.

When I was young I hated my height because I was always a head taller than everyone (including the boys) In fact, high school I would say that I was 5'12 because I didn't want to say 6'0. Then I went to college. I played college ball and so many of my friends were tall too. When we would walk into a club people would just stare at us. Hard not to notice 5 or 6 6'0 tall women walk in a room...lol. From then on I have LOVED being tall. Yes I will wear heels but I do try to stay away from the 4" ones..lol My husband is also 6'0 tall so when I wear them he always comments about it, but I told him.."Hey you knew I was tall when you married me and I'm NOT gonna wear flats with everything." One thing I do that he thinks is funny is whenever I see another tall woman the first thing do is look at her shoes. If she has giant heels on I just look at him and say "Oh, she's Fake tall." So now it's kind of a running joke with us, but YES I LOVE being tall!!

i am 5'2 and am height challanged. i dislike being short because it makes it hard to reach stuff. the world is made for taller people (i hate buying pants; even my cupboards are hung too high; think of a grocery store - i cannot reach the top shelves) i tell ya, i wish i was taller!

Yeah, it does seems like things are made for taller people. Buying pants are hard if you are tall also, they are always too short, I always have to buy the proportioned pants.

When I was a kid I was one of the tallest in my class. There was one girl who was taller than my by about an inch. I stopped getting taller at 5'6, but she kept on going to just south of 6 feet. I am fine with my height. I am glad I did not get too much taller.

I am not happy with my height. I always wanted to be taller then I am. I am like 5'5". That is not tall at all, it is close to average though. It always seems that whatever we are we would like to be something different! LOL

I was always the tallest girl in my class, everywhere actually. im about the same height as you are, the problem was I was a very tall child, when I was 12 I reached this height and noone is that tall at 12. So thats why i still have some issues about my height and wishes to be shorter..sometimes.
