What do you do when you're really mad?

Today, I got really steamed up over something. And, I figured that I had the choice of sitting around moping and stewing in my own juices or doing some constructive. So, I got busy dejunking the laundry room which is also a storage room. I couldn't move any of the heavier stuff out to the utility shed, so I just set it out the side door for hubby to deal with when he comes home. When I get mad, I clean. What do you do when you get really mad? Sleep? Yell? Clean? Please share.

Well everytime when i am mad...I prefer to go to in the coffee shop and drink a lot of coffee after all eating a lot of chocolate cakes....that makes me fat now.

I often yell. I have been known to do incredibly stupid things like punch holes in the garage door, but those occasions are extremely rare I would certainly not clean house

I have been known to punch and hit things as well, but after a hole in the wall and a dented filing cabinet, I've tried to stop doing that.

I don't blame you, fluffysue. It's not only hard on the house and the furnishings, it's hard on the hands as well

Me I usally hit a wall or throw something. Of course I make sure no one in around to get hurt or anything. I usally go off to be by myself to calm down.

When I'm really mad I don't really talk to that person. I try to mellow down first before I talk and really seat down and open up what I really feel. I don't easily talk cause I don't want to make things worst. Usually I keep myself in my room or go somewhere that my mind can relax and think well. I just don't wanna be indecisive or abrupt. For me, I don't have anything specific when dealing with anger. I often just do anything that might take my mind off of the anger.. I draw, I walk it off, clean like you do, listen to music.. just anything to keep my mind off of the matter that got me angered.. then after a while, I would try to think everything through.. see if I could find a resolution or a solution for the situation.. (^_^ ) Of course, there are times that I simply could not handle it.. (-_-")

I either: a. stew; b. explode; or c. stew and then explode. I wish that I could direct it to something constructive like you did. I'll have to remember that.

Dejunking is so therapeutic. And, you walk away with a real sense of accomplishment. Of course, the thing that made you mad will still be there, but you have directed your energy and anger to another source.

When I get mad I go out and have a cup of coffee. I go have a cup of coffee when I'm happy too. LOL When I'm happy it keeps me happy, and when I'm mad it MAKES me happy, so it's a win-win situation, either way. I love finding any excuse i can to have coffee, and when Vlad's driving the bus to the coffee shop, even better! :) Can't stay upset when he's driving. :)

I eat and eat and eat. I also sit and cry. I tend to shut down when I am really mad. I wish I could get up and be active but when I am really mad my muscles ache and I can not seem to function.

If yesterday you ate pizza then you are doing good. We have pizza about once a week and it shows on my hips. I wish I was not an emotional eater.

I ate pizza today. That's not something I usually do. Just today. I was really mad. Not so much anymore. I spent lots of money on pizza. And, then got the most relief from just cleaning up. Wish I'd tried that first.

I tend to cry at first. Then I start to clean and go about it with a vengeance. Call it power cleaning. Its better than stewing I guess.

I like to clean then sleep But when I am mad and cannot stay home, then I go out and SHOP! WHich my hubby hates more than anything else because I buy and buy and then empty our account. I also hate it when I do that because alot of time I don't even need the stuff. I don't buy clothes, instead I buy large items. Like I want a change , and will buy a new sofa, new bed, new dresser, new desk or a new bathroom sink etc. I try not to YELL because I don't want to scare the kids

I usually get myself busy whenever I'm mad. I do stuffs like cleaning, fixing the clothes drawer, etc. whatever that will keep my mind busy so as to forget that I'm mad. LOL. There were times that I do want to yell but had second thoughts about it. I just take a pen and paper or face my laptop and start to write what I feel. Hugz!

When I'm just angry, I scream. When I'm really, really, really fuming mad, you wouldn't even hear me peep. Sometimes I walk away and go elsewhere like the mall or a friend's house to let some steam off.

i yell and then i clean! lol really, cleaning really helps me to destress as well. and i tend to get alot done when i am mad, especially when i am mad at my husband. lol

I'm the same as you, I clean and clean and clean! I am usually yelling while I clean, but I still clean! I've tried not to sweat the small stuff as much as I used to, but I still get angry from time to time. Doesn't everybody?

i vent are just chill out getting upset will not help the situation.if yyou don,t put any wood on the fire the fire goes out.i also take my mind off the situation and focus on something else.

Well, first thing I do is 'Get What is bothering me OUT of my chest' then I deal with whatever remains, usually I go out for a ride! Away from what is making me mad.

I would be very very very very quiet and pout my lips. Anyone who sees me, know to just get away from me and not stand in my way. One time I did something very destructive when I was angry, and that made my husband very upset. But I am not sorry I destroyed whatever I destroyed really. Because after that I feel so much better. But mostly I just keep silent, watch TV, clean (but with lots of banging and other sound effects), or sleep.

when i am really mad i go out and get an ice cream and then i feel good and that is all. there are few things that drive my temper out but if they do i tend to control myself and try to avoid that disturbance or hindrance.

Honestly when I get mad sometimes I sulk and just sit and think and tell myself these things happen an theres nothing I can do about it but just suck it up and go one with life. I take in all the bad and replace it with good and loving memorys. I think of my heart which is my neice by the way and I say u are my joy u are my happiness and nothing can take that away from me not even when I get angry. I basically give my self a selfcheck lol.
