Have You Seen HBO's "True Blood"

I tuned into the HBO's "True Blood" for the first time this evening and I am trying to decide if I like it or not. It's kind of a new spin on the Vampire mythology. The premise is that Vampires have proverbially "come out of the closet" and are now living as citizens amongst humans. At the center of it all is a vampire and a woman who can see and hear people's thoughts. It seems they share some kind of a relationship, though I don't know enough about the show to fully understand the dynamic of the relationship.
I know this is a relatively new show, and so I am just asking, has anyone out there watched this show from the beginning and, if so, what do you think of it? Even if this is only your first or second episode, I would love to know more about what you think. I am trying to decide if this is a show I want to get into and just can't make out if this is a show worth watching or not.

I've watched the first two episodes and they were ok. I've recorded the next three episodes but haven't really been motivated to watch it. I'm finding it a little hard to get into. I'll probably watch it when I have a little downtime or nothing else to watch.

I've heard of True Blood but I've never seen it. I'm not sure if I want to watch it or not either. There are so many new things about vampires out there it's too much of a hype for me to really get excited about it. If I do get the chance to watch it then I may see what it's all about. But until then I'm not too worried about seeing it.

I really do love True Blood. I have seen all of the episodes so far and it's worth your time getting caught up and watching ( like using the "On Demand" feature). It's a very different type of vampire T.V show. I have never read the books that this show is based on but just by watching this show make's me want to go buy the books and read them. The creator of HBO's "Six Feet Under" is also the creator of True Blood and is one of the reasons why I decided to watch True Blood , being that I am such a big fan of the late Six feet under show.

True Blood is a great show.
they've only showed 3 episodes so far so it wouldn't be hard to catch up.
if you have "On Demand" on your cable you should be able to watch all the episodes for free so you're caught up with the storyline.

Overall, I really like this show. It's well written and entertaining with a side of dark and twisted. I truly enjoy that the show is character driven rather than just focusing strictly on the plot. There are some great actors on this show and they really bring their characters to life. I'm curious to see what happens next in the show.

I've quite definitely been "bitten"...lol! I was hooked on this show from the first five minutes and now I'm already in withdrawal since the season finale was last night already. I think the cast is sensational and we'll be seeing lots more of all of them. I'm also now dying to read the books.
Some people think a show about vampires is kind of juvenile and silly, but it's about much more than that! It's really a metaphor about bigotry and prejudice with some taking longer than others to be able to accept someone that's not "their own kind".
