I have just finished reading Women and Money: Owning the Power to Control your Destiny. This is the first one by her I read. I think that it's a great book every woman should read. I have learnt a lot about handling finances. She wrote in such simple ways that I could understand. If you have read any of her books, which is your favorite? How has it changed the way you think about your finances? What have you learnt from her books? Tell me your experiences. I'm planning to read more of her books. Which would you recommend? Thanks in advance for your response!

I haven't read any of her books but think she is an amazing woman. Have seen her many times on television and she knows her stuff. Her money advise would have to be written in simple words or I wouldn't be able to understand what she is saying. The financial decisions in our family are made by my husband and he does a great job.

Oh I know she's exceptionally bright. Have heard her many times on the Oprah show in the afternoon. I admire her.

Her books is very simple to understand and she always has tips if people want to find out more at her website. Actually, she advocates women to empower themselves by taking charge of their finances themselves, and not leave it to others. She's really good!

I have read several of Suze Ormans' books. My mother gave a cd set called Road to Wealth and I find her information priceless. What to hear something funny? I had my financial advisor come over and we were talking about life insurance and she wanted to get me into whole life insurance. I told her that I heard about whole life through Suze Orman and she opened her mouth and put her foot in it by saying some advisors consider her the devil. Least to say I took Orman's advice in life insurance and took term instead of the whole life!

I've watched Suze Orman show once when I visited the US and then again a couple of weeks ago, I saw her in Oprah. I'm from the Philippines, would you say it's advisable for me to buy her books? would her advice, also follow in my country? I'm very interested to know, so if you could help me, I'd be really thankful. And also when you say 'you took term instead of the whole life' what does it mean? Because right now, I'm paying for 3 insurances and I'm thinking I may have made a mistake!

I already have life insurance before I read her book or watched her on Oprah, so I'm not sure what to do about it yet. Do you have any suggestions? I would love to watch her CD, it would be great to watch than read, I think.

I like Suze Orman's advices. I watch her programs on CNBC. Many times she gives very practical advices. I have not read her books. From where did you get the book? Is it from the public library? If yes, I would be looking for one the next time.

Yup! You can get it at the public library, need not buy them, think they are quite expensive! I have borrowed another one of her books today, nine steps to financial freedom. I love her straight forward nature.

Suze Orman is new to me. I guess I should read one of her books these days. :) I have read Louise Hay's Empowering Women though, and it was great. I also read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" that gives a lot of information about money. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad, but not Empowering Women. Must go and get that one from the library the next time I visit. Today I borrowed another of Suze's book, 9 Steps to Financial Freedom. I really enjoyed reading the last one and decided to read her other books as well.

I have seen and heard her speak on Oprah but i haven't read any of her books. I do want to get a copy of that book you mentioned but i do not know if it is available here. I hope to find some her writings on the internet and get great ideas from her. Her message is a strong one, a wake up call for women and i am one of those whom she got thinking again. I just watch her on Oprah and still searching for any piece from her here in the net.

I think it's important for women to educated ourselves. After reading the book, I decided to talk to my financial adviser to find out more about financial security matters. Not to let her decide what I should do with my money, but to allow me to understand and let me choose what is best for me. I'm so inspired by her strong and powerful character. Try to see if your local library has the book. I got mine from the local library and intend to read more of her books, when I return this one. You must read it!

I love reading her book "The Courage To Be Rich". It's a good source of inspiration for me. I like those books that hit our core emotions, our core values, the base of our outward strength. Great book!
