For me, home is where my wife is. It used to be where my wife and children were but the children are grown now and making their own homes.
I have lived in many places in many countries; hot and cold, dry and wet - home to me has always been my current home.
My wife, however, has always thought of 'home' as her birth place. Is this a 'woman' thing then?

Hi Ivy, I've been away from home country for almost 2 years now, and miss my family so much, and the food over there and also the weather. I don't feel homesick because I'm with my husband and as far as my concern my home is with my husband. Although I miss my family sometimes, and I will be back to see my family and my home country when we have the chance.

Oh yes! I really miss my hometown.. I'm thinking of going home.. I miss the life that I have before.. I miss everything even myself.. Sometimes, I'm thinking to run away home but I just can't because I don't want my parents to be disappointed to me.. Since I also want to prove to myself that I can stand on my own.. Maybe, I just really miss my friends, my family, my boyfriend, and my pets..
Well, I'm already far from home for almost 6 months.. I just really hope that I can live on my own..

Hi there Iyy284891086
I too miss my hometown from time to time. I am only two hours drive away so it is not too far. There are certain foods I miss from there and when my mum comes to visit me she always brings some food with her. I also miss the beaches and my friends too but I know it is never too long before I will see them again.

I used to. But after sometimes, I found out that I am not missing them so much. I missed them because I was just not yet adapted my new place, I missed them because I was just not yet get new friends. But once I have got new friends, enjoy the new life, and get things that I want I just realized that there's nothing I actually missed from my hometown.
Yes of course I do missed my parents, they still live there, but I don't missed a thing about my hometown. It was small, I can't get enough internet connection. It was slow and yes it was quiet and peaceful but it was too small so that you don't have any more privacy in your life. People watching you because they are not busy with themselves.
Even I hate my hometown because of the slow speed of the connectivity I can't deal with that. I need my computer and I need my internet. I can't deal with the slow speed, because I can't work that way.
