Have you fallen in love with Rex the gorgeous, intelligent German Sheperd?

It is an Austrian tv show called Kommisar Rex or Inspector Rex in English and apparently there are dvd's everywhere of the show. I have to watch the sub titled version but I love the dog so much that anything is ok, it is my favorite show of the week. My partner does not watch but he understands my addiction and always makes sure I get my Rex time. lol. My dog is suspicious that I am being unfaithful but is not sure as there is no visible dog but if I say Rexie, he looks for the dog. He just knows I am talking about a dog. He is so cute. Rex even has a Wikipedia entry. Search under Inspector Rex. I first saw it on a tv station in Australia that does foreign language shows and I just fell in love with the dog. The dogs name is Rex and he gets recruited and trained to be a police dog. He is so amazing. I wanted to have one just like him but my partner says that he would be too active for me. I am not well and cannot exercise much. Rex is so well trained and clearly has a sense of humor, hell you could almost say he was a trained actor he is so clever. I am sure if you did a search on the internet for Inspector Rex you would find him, I looked and found that he has fans everywhere. In fact the show has actually changed my attitude to police dogs everywhere. I think it is a wonderful show and the dog is the most handsome German Shepherd you could ever see. So photogenic, lol. The perfect tv star. He is shown to be the perfect empathic with people, whenever someone the police need to talk to is emotionally disturbed Rex always forms an emotional bridge allowing contact. I mean who would not talk to such a friendly and lovely dog. He can also follow any scent, acts as a cadaver dog and defends his people, his pack. He is the best canine actor I have ever seen.

He is wonderful. I know cynics will point out that it is only training but I get the sense of a great personality and a sense of humor. I can see it in his eyes he looks like he is laughing. Maybe he is a good actor. I hope you get to see him. I am lucky because Australia has a foreign language station that has lots of Rex fans and they show episodes every week. If I had the money I would buy the dvd's but I cannot spend money on that unfortunately, maybe one day. I have seen lots of dog shows like lassie and so on but Rex is the best I have ever seen.
