i just wonder if theres really a purgatory, they say this is a place where sinners resides for cleansing of the soul from sin after death, and living relatives can speed up this process by means of mass and prayers intended for them..if this is real well it sounds good but i haven't found any biblical verse supporting it or have impress about this place beside heaven, paradise and hell..how about you, what is your opinion about this purgatory issue..

First of all im not christian so i wont go deep into this but i have many friends who are catholic christians and most of them believe what has been told to them by their fore fathers and ancestors. Purgatory is an ancient belief so i think it peole should try to understand more of this rather than terming it non-sense because it is not in the bible......Cheers....

thats really how purgatory came in. out of peoples belief and not what the bible says. actually theres a lot of things unexplained in this world specially in the belief of each and every religion...

I can't find it in the Bible either. I was taught to believe it existed when I was young. I have since changed my religious affiliation and my new church doesn't support the idea. I think it is doctrine of that organization and not what the Bible tells us.

i find it the same just like you, unfortunately they still adhere with these kind of teaching compromising what the bible really has to say about this issue..or either the bible has nothing about it rather.

I think the present Pope has sort of tried to resolve the issue by setting it aside i.e by sending out a message that it's an issue that people should not be concerned about. Since the Pope is a theologian, I am sure, he knows that purgatory has no biblical support, and that's why Catholic Church is trying to bury it. That's my understanding...
