What Would You do if Your Spouse Cheated on You?

Well sadly a friend of mine caught his wife cheating on him. He really loves her but has no idea what to do. He feels so betrayed and he is soo depressed i cant even explain it. Just imagine your spouse being so close to you and you would never even dare to think he/she was cheating on you, ever, but you find him or her actually has cheating on you. Thats what happened in this situation. She claims it was a one time thing but you really cant trust anyone anymore.
Well what would you do?
Forgive and Forget?
Or
Leave the Relationship completely?
State your terms aswell.

I don't know what I would do. I do trust my husband. But, if he did cheat on me. I would be at a loss. I would be depressed too. I have a hard time forgiving and forgeting as it is, so I don't know if I could. I would still have to have some sort of relationship because we have kids. And he is an excellent dad. He would definitely be sleeping on the couch or out in Max's dog house.
