Not everyone can afford to buy Louis Vuitton, Chanel or Versace handbags. So what's the next best thing? Buying the more accessible designer bags from Coach and Dooney & Burke but between the two, which is better? Both offer monograms designs which are very popular. You want to show off your $300 - $500 investment so sometimes the monogram design is more appealing because you know that when you're walking down the street, people will know what's hanging off of your shoulder. Between the two, I would say that Coach is better because it offers more and is a step up from DB. Coach is a bit more expensive than DB but paying more money doesn't necessarily mean that you're getting more out of the product. In this case, I would say that you do. Coach has a several basic purse and wallet styles which usually means you'll find the perfect size for you. Then you have your classic leather Coach bags and your fabric bags which are more exciting since these are usually the ones with the different designs. I love the smell of Coach leather. It doesn't scratch as easily as DB leather, at least in my opinion. Coach offers more than just handbags. They have travel bags, agendas, scarves, hats, contacts cases, business card holders, CD cases, photo albums, coats and jackets, shoes! The list goes on. DB doesn't offer all of that. I think Coach is more high end fashion than DB. Coach is more sophisticated and can appeal to both the young and old. I do like DB. Everyone went crazy for their IT bags. You can have no opinion on handbags and walk into a Coach and find something you like but I think you have to be a DB fan in order to walk into a DB store and find something you like. The IT bags are more for little girls. The colours are definitely more fun but it's really seasonal. I feel like you can only use the IT bag in the summer. After that you have to pack it away. Coach bags, regardless of their colour, you could use whenever. I must say, I love the hardware on DB bags and the feet on the bigger purses to protect the bottoms of the bags. I'm not that big of a fan when it comes to DB leather bags. I like the colours and I thought the croc-style leather was interesting but more like a fad. Their accessories are limited. You have wallets, ID cases and a couple of wristlet styles but that's it. I really like DB but I would have to say I love Coach. More styles and more accessories for just about anyone makes me a bigger Coach fan. What about you?
