Rolex or Cartier would be the watch of choice-- because they make timeless classics that will appreciate over the years (or at least hold their value)-- where as a gucci will not-- you will get your 5 second high, but beyond that the next year when the next style comes out you will be unimpressed with yours. The same thing as a high end purse-- choose a classic style when you may only choose one.
