Why should I be referred by someone in online earnings?

First of all I want to say Hi to everyone who read this post, I'm a new member of myLot :)
As we know there are lots of sites that has online earning programs, scam or not, hope their registered members to get the more the better referrals to promote their sites. From the perspective of the companies, it is a really smart way to get more people registered and to fully use the huge internet surfers. For the already registered members, they can also get commissons when they get referrals registered, and more when their referrals do more job (refer to others, do online surery, read emails, etc). So here comes a question: why should I be referred by someone? What profit can I get if I get referred?

I don't think there is no profit involve for the referred one ...to me it's just another marketing tool used by these sites to build membership...don't get me wrong if you can build yourself a downline you can increase your earning protential greatly.I don't go for the referral arena because you are hook paying the person who you are working under as long as you are a member under the person it's like you owe them a favor for ever just because you signed under them...

Actually I don't like to sign up under someone. It seems as they are your boss and you have to work while pay for them. So one will get the best amount of money by his/her down line when he/she registered a site at the early period of its foundation, if the sites grow to be popular later on. But if everyone holds the same opinion and refuses to be your referral, I'm afraid no one can earn in online earning programs :(

you get nothing when you get referred by someone...you just get a profit if you got referrals on your down line..as for me have nothing against being referred by someone...i would rather let someone earn from me...for me its a big things helping out others by giving percent for something your making online...i usually find someone whom i can sign up as their referral...

You don't get anything for being referred to a site and I believe the theory behind this is that if you were not referred you would never have found out about the site in question. Therefore your referer is actually doing you a favour to a point and once you have been referred there is nothing wrong with you as a user trying to gain referels of your own. I know here on mylot a referel can net you an extra 25% of their earnings which means for example that for every $ a referel makes you earn $0.25. Not much but with several referals it soon adds up.
I know it's a little unfair but that's the basic of it to my knowledge. After all if you were aware of there online earning sites without a referer I would personally feel fairly cheated...earning money for others...but thats how most of them work.

I definitely agree with metalchick you are actually receiving a favor by being referred since you get a chance to know new sites, new offers, and many other things; like money money on these referrals.
