I was a little disappointed

I went to see him about a year ago in Michigan when he toured with Elvis Costello. Costello was awesome and I wanted him to play longer, then Dylan took the stage and the entire time, he would just talk the lyrics of the songs and seemed to rush through them. He didn't sing at all or even sound Bob Dylan-y. I feel lucky that I got to see him live in my lifetime before he retires but lets just say that his show wasn't exactly transplendent.

I saw Dylan last August. I have to say i agree. i am very happy that he is still touring, and privileged to have seen him. i want to see him again also. however, his voice has taken quite a hit throughout the years, as is expected. but he put on a great show. the acts that followed him ( it was a folk festival) were amazing! he brought together such a variety of music , such as conor oberst, swell season, gillian welch, levon helm, and steve earle.
i enjoyed him. i think that many people are suprised to hear his voice and think that he has the same voice as he did in the 60s and hey that was would be great but we all get older and our voices change. we can't all be Baez haa.

I think that I would feel disappointed also-but it would really be a great thing to get to see him. I have found that most concerts of the really great ones are generally disappointing.
