you DON'T earn 25% of your referrals' total earnings

After a month, I finally got an answer from the myLot staff. I asked if I will receive 25% of my referrals' earnings. Their reply: Refer friends. For each person you send to myLot you will receive a bonus equal to 25% of their discussion and image earnings. So that's it. You don't get 25% of the total, only of their Participation earnings. So it's no use recruiting people who major in networking if they won't be participating themselves because you wouldn't be benefiting from the downline.

Huh? Of course they have to participate to earn you any money. That's the way it is anywhere. No participation, no earnings. Did I misunderstand what you're saying?

I've asked the question before here in the discussions and someone actually got the answer right - that we only benefit from their participation. However, most of the people thought that we actually get 25% of the total - that means that if you recruited someone who is really good at getting referrals, you'll also benefit from the referrals that he'll get (since he'll be earning off of them). Now I clarify that that is a wrong assumption :) I also thought that we earn from our referral's referral earnings as well. So to directly answer you question, yeah you kinda misunderstood it. And no, maybe you knew that all along that's why you misunderstood it :D

Oh! OK now I understand what you're saying. Sense you only earn from your direct referrals I knew that. That's why I didn't understand what you were saying. Sorry I was so dense.

you DO get the 25%, but it's "of the participation earnings" of your referrals. NOT the "total earnings" ;) So it's not about having a lots of layers of referrals, but of only having referrals who participate in the community.

I personally think it's silly if you actually thought you'd get 25% of their total earnings. I don't know. Call me crazy but that'd be a definite huge money waster for the people that run Mylot. I just think if you didn't know that in the first place maybe you shouldn't be here.

You'd be surprised then to see that a lot of us "shouldn't be here". That was rough.

So that's how it it. Now it is clear to me, so before I refer I should be sure that they would participate well. Thanks!

Definitely! You have to make your referrals active and making more participation here so that you can also benefit from his activity as well as to his earnings.

Yes I know that we only earned from our referral's earnings because of their participation. If they have no participation in one day we have no earnings to get from them on that day. If they participate again on the next then we will get a percentage from their earnings on that day alone and that also goes for the coming days of his/her participation. We are lucky if we have an active referrals because we can be sure to have some earnings from their daily participation. Unfortunately I only have one referrals and not active as I am here. So my earnings only comes from my hard works alone. But it's okay anyway I'm enjoying my stay here in mylot. Have a nice day.

I dont think i have to worry much for this reply from the admin because i dont have active referrals here , some have made zero postings and some have made just 2 postings here and from that im not going to earn anything lol :) and this is place is not a affiliate program where one can earn much from their refferals :)

ok. but still i do not understand the difference between participation earning's 25 % and total earning's 25%. The participation earning is that person's earning. or it may be total earning is participation + referral earning

you got it right. total = participation + referral.

May I barge in? If we were paid for the activity of our referrals own referrals then that would make it multi-level earnings and Paypal do not support that. I have no referrals but I was aware that we are only paid form direct referral's activity right from the start. That is the case with any site that pays through Paypal Happy psoting!

it you read at the bottom of myLot email notification it is stated there that you'll gonna receive referral earnings equal to 25% of their myLot participation earnings. participation earnings come from your downline activity such as making discussions or responding to discussions and it also includes its earnings in photo uploads. anything that has to do with his participation except what that person earned directly from that person's downline.

This is kinda confusing to me.. You said that we only earn from our referrals participation earnings. Well yes of course we wouldn't be getting anything if your referral isn't active here in mylot. And the total and participation earnings is just the same.

Ahh, so that's what you're trying to say. Well I have figured that out before when I first joined mylot. There's no rule about downline earnings so we only earn from our direct referrals. Ok. All is well now. Ciao!

ya your right but you will get more than 25% of your referals earnings if he or she is really active.i was refered to mylot by my friend and now he says that my activity in mylot has earned him nearly equal to my actual earnings at mylot i.e; nearly 90% of my earnings.i was shocked to hear this but its true.i think they rate our discussions based on various parameters...if anyone knew about this please share..

Now that is a good contribution to the discussion. I was also wondering why I have *as much* referral earnings when I have only one active referral. And now that you mentioned it, he is even more active than I am. He overtook my activities. He keeps on teasing me that I'm not really doing anything in myLot, only smooching from him lol

Yea i figure there'd be a catch. I mean you already get paid chump change already for this website. I don't think i've ever met or discussed with somebody that's made over 40 cents in a day, even the ones that respond or start like a 100 a day.

Thanks for sharing this information with us. So if I have understood you correctly, you won't earn money if they get referrals. You only earn money through their participation.

i have not been able to convince anyone to sign up so it does not really affect me. i wish i could get people to sign up and participate so i could make more money but i will forge ahead on my own.

Yeah, it is the 25% of your referrals earnings that you will get and that is the reason why you have to refer friends that will participate a lot and not a dormant one.
