Should Paul McCartney have performed in Israel?

Apprently he visited Bethlehem and claimed he'll come back for the Palistinians after protests.
I notice he didn't do his John Lennon tribute Give Peace A Chance sing-a-long, nor his solo songs, Freedom - "This is my right, a right given by God
To live a free life, to live in Freedom
....I will fight, for the right
To live in Freedom
Anyone, who wants to take it away
Will have to answer, Cause this is my right"
and/or Give Ireland Back To The Irish

Yeah I think it's good he performed in Israel. I mean whether or not it's dangerous for his own safety I don't know but he's being bold and making a stand for things that he believes in. He's been doing that his whole life though so I guess this is no big deal for him.
