Its been a long time since a movie gave me nightmares, but there was these movies when i was younger i could not watch. Even when i was a teenager i refused to watch them even though i was watching a lot of other horror movies. A few years ago i bite the bullet and watched one, and thankfully no nightmares. Which movies where they??? The ones with Freddy Kreuger in them. I got teased a lot because of it because most of my friends thought the movies weren't scary and kind of funny.

The first movie was meant to play on peoples fears that was wes craven's goal and therefore it was a little darker and scarier then the other. Part 7 New Nightmare was also more creepy then most of the others but camp was the rage back then so I think the subsequent directors let it get silly but Robert Englund was so entertaining that it rarely got boring. Thanks for the response!

well, there are 2 that I can think of and I don't remember which one was the most recent, The Grudge and The Ring. I don't know why but they both terrified me and I refuse to ever watch either one ever again.

I'm afraid my obsession with horror movies ruined the grudge for me it just seemed really predictable but the ring was pretty good thanks for the response

The ONLY movie that has ever given me nightmares was Goblet of Fire when I saw it when it first came out. Obviously the nightmares were about voldemort, and emma watsons acting.
It was horrible. The film didn't scare me, obviously because its harry potter, and I was about 22, but it must have done something subconciously.

Ferinheit911, lol.
No, seriously, though, I think it was something old that I had seen at least once before, but it just struck me wrong way(right way?) that night. It might of been of one the Creepshow movies, or something with zombies. For some reason gross/gory mosters scare me more than anything else, and stuff that refuses to die ... like spiders (G-D spiders, they should all die in a fire).
