You can buy it in the supermarket but i think those crabstick use by japanese restaurant is very much different they order it to some suppliers which I think is not available in the supermarket. I know one supplier but sad to say I cannot reveal it to you for it is confidential to our business and I think you cannot purchase for them for they are wholesaler.

by the way you can use crabstick in many ways. You can use it in salad, sushi, maki, and tempura. I love kani tempura.

We buy the crabstick in the supermarket. That's the same thing that Japanese restaurants use here in our country. You can freeze it if you won't use the whole pack.

We buy it in the supermarket. Expensive Japanese stores have a special supplier - or opt for the expensive type, which is more tasty. However, we make our own sushi and we use ordinary crabsticks from the market and it tastes fine. You may want to fry it if you want to add more taste into it, we rarely do this though.
