Do you hand wash your dishes or use a dishwasher?

I have to hand wash my dishes because we don't have a dishwasher in this old house that we are renting at this time. So, I have to wash my dishes the old fashioned way. Sometimes I find myself washing dishes 3 times a day. Am I the only one that doesn't have a dishwasher in my home. At the other house we had a dishwasher but here we don't. Do you leave your dishes in the sink overnight. I really hate to do that but sometimes I do.

we've been hand washing our dishes ever since...because we cannot afford to but a dishwasher machine...hihihihi..we've been used to it and it really doesn't bother us..

I've been on both sides of the fence, with a dishwasher and without one. I did like the dishwasher when I had one. Now, I'm without one.. Just me and my sponge do the trick just fine. I tend to like doing dishes by hand. For some odd reason, I find the job itself relaxing.
As for leaving dishes overnight in the sink, they are there tonight. I don't like doing it either because in the morning, the last thing I want to do are the dishes from the night before.

Thank you for your response. I too have dishes in the sink tonight. I will have to wash them first thing in the morning. I don't usually do that but my daughter went to school tonight and I didn't get them done before she left. I took care of my 3 year old grandaughter tonight and it was a bad night with her being so ill that I didn't get anything done. Well, the dishes wont' go anywhere before in the morning.

we wash dishes the old traditional way and not any chances of buying a dish washer but who knows but the ladies in the house won't like to switch their habit and it will take them time to do so. so, no plans yet.
it is time saving and hygienic to use dish washer and we don't leave dishes in sink overnight and clean them before going to bed.
