Do you watch this show?it is very popular in america...and frankly the secrets that they have to tell are rather controversial...what about you?would you dare to tell your darkest secret for such a huge amount of money?or will you be concerned for the aftermath of telling it to the whole world?

Hi there andak2007
Jerry Springer used to host the British verion of this but I haven't seen it on tv for ages. I would like to think that I don't have any real dark secrets that would shock anyone. I think you would have to be very thick skinned though to go right through to win $500,000. Has anyone ever won it? I don't think anyone had the nerve to go right through to win the top prize.

I have watched it a couple of times. One I remember is the blonde chick that thought of being with her ex on her wedding day. All she thought of was the money and didn't care who she destroyed. I wouldn't care about going on the show, I don't have anything to hide except for the fact. I backed into a light pole and told my husband that someone must of did it while I was in the mall getting something for him. Everything else, everyone already knows. My life is to boring to be on this show, I think they only pick people that has some much crap hidden to make the show interesting.

Hard to tell if it was the truth or not, if it was, the girl had to be cold hearted. Supposely they had them take a lie detector test before hand, if that's true. I feel bad for the ones that has to sit there and hear the truth. The girls husband wasn't the only one sitting there, they had her family, her ex boyfriend sitting around. So her family had to hear everything. Private things are out the window with this show. Shows what money will do to some people.

There isn't enough money on the planet to get me to tell my secret.Even if along with the money I got to me David Caruso, one of my favorite stars.

No.
But, then again, no one would really pay $500,000.00 for my darkest secret.

My darkest secret is definitely far too tame for the show. I have lived a very clean life and my darkest secret would be boring to nearly everyone.

if there is really nothing to reveal then we will not qualify to enter the show..those whose got so many things to hide and needs a lot of cleaning the closet are the best candidates.

No, it's too little money for my darkest secret. Offer me a million and we can talk. I would be concerned about the aftermath.

I would never reveal any secret for any amount of money, let alone the darkest secret. I would not tell it to another person, let alone to the whole world.

I do watch this show and have to admit that I enjoy it as well! I definitely wouldn't go on it myself though. It's not that I feel I have secrets that I am afraid of coming out; it's more the way they have many questions that are somewhat open ended. Some of them result in answers being given that can be misinterpreted completely. I don't think any amount of money is really worth the possible problems that being on a show like this could cause. We only have to look at all the episodes so far to see what issues end up being opened up!

Funnily enough I watched this show only two nights ago and to my absolute surprise the two people chose to leave with $25,000 rather than take the risk of shaming themselves even further! It was nice to see two people using their heads for a change! lol. Thanks for the best response tag.

I have only seen about 10 or 15 minutes of this show, the Moment of Truth. Uh, I think that's what the show was called.
I can't imagine telling something that would drastically hurt another person, just to get money. I don't think it would be worth it. I wouldn't do it.

I have watched it a couple of times, but it really isn't my type of entertainment othe then it supposeably being a game show. As bad as I need money, I would'nt go on television and expose my darkest secretfor that amount of money or more. The aftermath would be too great. As my mother used to say, "You can pay for a piece of mind." And that what I prefer to have then revealing my darkest secrets for money. If for no other reason, I have 3 adult children would suffer.

Hi andak2007. I agree, the pain will just go on and one. Plus, depending on what your deep dark secret(s), they may destroy families, friendships, relationships, etc.

its a very sensible thing to do..but what if she agreed that you tell it to the show and afterwards she changed her mind and do not feel the same anymore towards you even if you will give her all the money that you have earned in the show?

HECK no...I would be so afraid of airing dirty laundry that didn't even belong to me. I think the aftermath of these shows are hideous. I would think the kids and families that are affected should be thought of. Although, look at any other daytime or reality show out there. There isn't a real concern for the feelings. It is really about the ratings. I couldn't imagine tearing apart my husbands feelings or that of other family members either. But on the other hand...If you aren't happily married, have no kids and don't give a crap what the entire nation thinks of you then ***GO FOR IT BABY***.

yes i also think about the people that gets affected by that secret...they are all after the money and ratings..no more values thrown in the window.

Values- Oh my goodess. I do not know of very many good televeision programs out there. Even Amercican Idol exploits their contestants. Look at the poor chinese guy, the *she bangs* song. That was horrible. I have to be real careful what I will and will not let my kids watch. There just seems to be a values vacuum in our society anymore. What would you say about that? Do you think we have a great variety of programming that enhances morales and values? I maybe not be looking in the right area of the satelite, but I seem to be coming up short. I notice that based on what my chidren watch their behavior is responent.

It is hard to resist such a good offer for spilling out the beans. If it doesn't kill anybody for telling the darkest secret I would not hesitate to grab the offer and tell the world. It might be embarrassing but the story you've revealed will soon be forgotten as not all human beings are blessed with good memory, lets hope.

Hi andak2007, I don't know that show, I have never heard from it.. I'll check my local cable programs to see if can be viewed here.. what channel broadcast it? NBC? Sony? I think that for half millon dollars I could tell a big lie, anyway, if is my secret then no one will ever know if it's true or not what I'm saying..

Yes! I do watch it as well, but on the Dutch TV. I don't know how this is in America, but when the moment of truth comes, they wait about 30/40 seconds every time before telling if it's good or false! Very irritating..I'd really like to watch it, but only just because of that annoying waiting, I don't watch it..but for the rest it would be a perfect TVshow!

Me and my wife watch this show alot and we've talked it over too. I'd probably spill my guts for the money. Besides there's not a whole lot that she hasn't caught me do or busted me for before anyway. OK so maybe there's a few things but she'd get over it for the money. I know she would. ;)

Would I tell the truth yes, would I say something that crush those that I love... no. Not in private, not in public, and not for 500,000 dollars. The show should be called "are you an A-Hole". Everyone has thoughts and feelings that should not be shared with your loved ones. If you can't say something nice.... dont say anything at all.

yeah sometimes they can be mean and unthinkful of the feelings of others.
