I recently began a new job in the field where I am educated. I love it! I began thinking about my life and the goals I had. These goals had been created when I was younger. Just out of high school. I had no one but myself to take care of. I began thinking about whats been accomplished and what was not. I decided that I needed to create new, more realistic goals. I have set up a new set of achievable goals. I began to make small steps. I am so excited. I know this may sound stupid but I feel as if I was reborn or given another chance. I am happy now I think I was dwelling on things I couldnt change. I had a case of the "POOR ME'S". Not anymore. I can say that as of today I am Happy. How about you? Are you happy? Did you reach the goals you set up for yourself? Please share?........

I think that you have a wonderful outlook on life! If only I could have you around me on a daily basis. You would be the perfect role model. Have you ever thought about being a motivational speaker? You keep working towards your goals just as you are. If you rush it, you may make silly mistakes. We definitely dont want that to happen. I wouldnt change a thing. When you do finally reach them. Imagine the happiness of knowing that you did it all on your time and at your pace. Good luck my friend. Happy MyLotting. dl

Honestly I think throughout our lives we will achieve goals and create a new one. Its like an assembly line. We begin by setting the goal, take steps to achieve, and finally achieve. Begin again. THere is so much technology, education, and so many opportunities arising that its only natural we need to set new goals. In a sense, it gives us a purpose to live. At least it does for me. I think it gives us something to look forward to. Thank you so much for sharing with me. DL

In many ways I have exceeded my goals. I wanted to be a writer. So started after my kids were grown so that hasn't been too many years. I still work full time but have written three books now and do my artsy things like painting. So yes....I have reached some of my goals and I am very happy!

You are very lucky. I am so busy now trying to hold down my jobs I dont have time for my dreams. I am trying to start a jewelry business. I feel as if I am failing because I hardly have time to make any jewelry. I have set aside time every week to work on my goals. Maybe next year this time I will be announcing the opening of my company. As for you, Congratulations on your books. I would love to read them. Where can I get one. You are a very lucky person. thanks for sharing your dreams. Dl

THat's where youre wrong fairygrl. You seem to be a very talented woman. It takes a strong person to get this far in life these days with no large debts. You also have no children. You have a great deal of accomplishments. You have had many experiences both good and bad that have helped you grow. ALl these decisions you are making regarding your life are accomplishments. SOme people in the world dont have choices. YOu do! Take advantage of them. Talk to your mother. I know she can help. dl

I had the same type of thing happen to me in my junior year of high school. I was a cheer leader for the varsity football team. I was chosen out of 3000 girls to be one of ten cheerleaders who would cheer with the Patriots Cheerleaders. Everything started out okay. We had attended several practices before the game just to get a feel for the field and learn routines. On the last day of practice I was accidently tackled by on of the players from the practice squad. It literally turned my knee around to the back of my leg. I was in a cast for almost a year and a half off and on. In an instant my dreams were shattered. Trust me when I tell you that thinking positively is the best medicine. Becoming depressed will literally slow down the healing process. Dont worry! things will get better. I promise. good luck my friend. DL

I'm quite content with my life.
As for goals...more or less, but I've got new ones to reach for now.
Before, I wanted to become a writer (and I have, but I mostly write for myself now). And I'm currently working on the 'changing the world' goal lol.
But the new one is to build my life on farming and working with my hands.

Congratulations! As long as you love what you do, it is lovely! Well, I am rather careful about setting goals. After all, I am one that must reach them. LOL! I set very simple ones such as "plant a few rows of veggies." :) And yes, I have achieved my goals. Plenty of veggies and flowers in the garden now. :)
Cheers and happy mylotting

I haven't achieved my goal yet. I believe that at long last, all my dreams will come into flower in pursuit of youthful song loud an clear. I will dream on and on till the end of the time, leaving a wishful picutre on my mind.
My dream began when I was young though I never knew it then. I just held on something that would come to pass. Dreams really do exist. In the morning, when u wake up, they would be remembered as a dream.
I have always dreamed to walk in a famous university campus of the united states. As I grew older, I began to realize I had to do something for my dream, which was something inside of me. There comes a moment it's more than just a dream.
When I went to a famous university in my country, my parents tell everyone about it. As if it is a big accomplishment,a superhero or something. But I told them I didn't really have what it took to study here... I just wanna go to the united states further my study. My mom tried to talk me out of it, said I would live a tough life to be a oversea student. That I would suffer to make it.
But the way I see it, it was my dream, it has been dream. I would be happy to achieve my goals whatever might end up. The value of life is what it is.
Oh, well, I won't give up though my parents don't agree with me.
Thus, I am not happy enough since I haven't achieved my goals in life.

hey,dl.I wold like to share it with you.Last year,I was a little mopish in my daily life.I failed in the college entrance examination.I felt very sad during the time.I didn't know what my future would be.Everyday I stayed at home and didn't want to go out. Now,everything seem to be turned.I enter a university which is not as good as I dreamt of.But I cheer up.I know that if I don't study hard,I can have no future.Only by achieving my goals in life can I have a bright future and realise my dreams. Now I am very happy.I realise what true life is.

I am happy where I am right now in my life. My life is one big schedule that I have began planning when I was in middle school and as of now, everything is going according to plans. I'm very happy and very satisfied. (Thank you Lord!)

I'm not happy at all with my life. I have worked and continued to work so hard to reach my goals, but there is always something there to hold me back. It is just miserable. I wish it would finally get better.

What you say does not sound stupid. I do know what you mean. I have often felt I was not achieving much in the past, and that was because I had no definite goals.
I really have achieved many things, despite this. Now I set small goals, which I can realistically reach, one step at a time. I feel really great each time I come close, and sometimes I do even better than expected.
It is all a matter of attitude. Changing my attitude has changed my life. I no longer think about the past in a negative way, I only think of what I have achieved so far. That makes me even more optimistic about what I can still achieve in life.

goals well they are set each day and each year and i have achieved what i had set up for me(most of them) and i am satisfied and happy and i never try to make such goals that i cannot think of achieving, i am not under estimating myself but i love challenges and they do get the best out of me.
