As for me I do both. I have near about 150 novels in my collection, excluding ebooks. Also I share my books with friends so I can get to read more. I read all sorts of magazines, news papers any thing that got a print on it. What about you. Do you keep a collection or just borrow books to read?

I normally just buy books. As for sharing books with friends I've had tons of people forget to return books and I have even forgot to return books back to my friends as well.

I usually buy them and when I'm done I pass them along to friends. There are some I keep like inspirational ones. I don't mind lending them out but it sucks when people don't return them. I read anything I can get my hands on. I make time every day to read even if it's only for 10 minutes.

I really like buyng books but with all the books i read i cant really afford to constantly buy new ones. I spend alot fo time at my university libray and when i have spare time i look around for a good book. Sometimes i find really amazing book i wouldnt have found otherwise. So i guess i kinda do half and half, although i would prefer to have a giant book colection.

I usually buy my books, and as new books are expensive, I would hunt for secondhand or used books. Currently I have about 300+ books in my collection, and still buying. I don't share books with friends, as most of them don't share my interest in reading.
I don't borrow books from libraries either. Our libraries here are hopeless, and except the Lincoln Resource Center or the British Council, there are limited books in English, and their collections of books just border on boring and purely academic!

I used to borrow from libraries when I was little and I can actually take short walks to the library with my mom or my sister. But nowadays, I just buy them. I don't lend them out anymore unless I know that person love books as much as I do or I know that person will return it. I sound super selfish here, but there are people who honestly don't know how to appreciate books or do they care enough of other's possessions to keep it in one piece. (Yes, bad past experiences.) But then again, I know this one person who keeps it really good and we exchange books between us like if we rarely reads something, but the other might like it more, we usually just give it to the other.

i really love to read books. Unfortunately some books that i had read were all borrowed from friends and from our school library. I can't afford to buy books when i were in my school days time. But now that i have my work i can buy some books now that i think i really need to buy. But still i have to weigh if i should buy or still borrow from friends and in city library.

I always buy books now, or borrow from friends. I don't do well with libraries because I tend to stop books and pick them up months later. And I'm always reading 3 or 4 books at once, so it's too hard to remember to return them.
I usually do a good job returning to friends eventually, but I have to say, because I have over 400 books, and people borrow from me so much, I tend to lose track of what I've lent out to someone. I can think of at least 10 books I know I bought, but can't remember who has them now. I should start writing it down.
