yeah you heard it right.is their any possibility of india to be the next super power as the us economy is shaking. india has been developing at such a fast rate that can surass the us?you never know what may happen, so keep guessing
i think there is a chance for india to be the next superpower country.we are still lacking behind a bit but we have not stopped growing.many poor people are still living life out their with only one meal. but at seeing the current growth rate india has a bright future and it can take the crown of superpower for sure.

Yeah may be India is the next big thing but we aren't lacking a bit...we are lacking a lot..the growth is also mostly in the upper strata and the lower strata is growing too slowly for our liking..Lets hope for the best and since Indian economy is currently well capitalised there are hopes of a much dreamt golden era for India in the waiting..

yeah that is what i have also highlighted, we should concentrate more on the loower strata.helping them and giving them the space they need is the only way to bring them up. we can't give laptops or costly phones to them and tell them to develope themselves, we need to help them in whatever field they are in and make them stand stronger against all the odds.

that's a nice step from you Arthi. All the best. I do wish everybody would understand that. If each family helped out another poor family in some small way, or at least met the needs of one child, how much more easier it would be.

There's every chance, provided, our country first stops squabbling over smaller issues. Fights between Hindus and Muslims. Now between Hindus and Christians. So lets work toward a more unified India.

I agree with you. This thing really annoyes me. We are all humans and fighting over religion is a shame on us.

My dear, I would love to see our country be a super power. Unfortunately, or should I say regretfully, India is like a body, beautiful on the outside, but all broken up on the inside. With all our communal, caste, etc, problems, where are we going to reach. One side we have signed a nuclear deal, but on the other? Unless we work towards a united India, we are the best in the world. I love my country and would fight to see it prosper.

No. You are comparing India to US. When US sneezes the rest of the world gets the flu. Look at the Indian financial and stock market now. Where is the growth in India in last 1 year show me?
India has too many problems, poverty, corruption, health care, poor law system, etc. to deal with. Yah 1% of Indians can achieve super power but how about the rest of the country population?
