2nd Opinions-Put your health in your hands

So i've always been the type to listen to what my doctor says and follow his advice. many people do this. i've never had any major health issues come up so i've never had to worry about getting a second opinion. since the new year i have had so many health issues surface that now my health has taken over my mind, body and spirit. i was diagnosed with sleep apnea in june and was sent to an ENT to have my tonsils removed and also told to lose weight. when i saw the ENT he wanted to do a special surgery that would move my throat forward. i just didn't think that i needed to have that drastic of a surgery done. this doctor would not perform a regular tonsillectomy. so i got a second opinion. it was during this second opinion that i was told i only stop breathing when i'm laying on my back. so i had the regular surgery and i found out a week ago that i'm cured from sleep apnea. not only would i have endured more pain and more days out of work but i would have done way more than i need to. this only the beginning of my saga..... have you ever gone to a doctor and disagreed with his diagnosis?? if so did you get a second opinion. does anyone ever feel bad about getting a second opinion? i felt like i was cheating on the first doctor but i'm glad i did it. i know we aren't experts but its our body and we have to make sure we take the best care of it. tell me what you think

I may have. But, I do plan to get an 2nd opinion from another doctor. My doctor that I go to now, believes that I will not get the skin condition anymore. But as soon as I break out again, I will be seeing another doctor..

hi friend, i like to respond on your discussion. i like health related discussion very much.friend,you may take the second opinion from the other doctor or may be some physiotherapist.your problem is curable .so don't take tension.the easiest way to free from this problem is by practsing yoga every day or regularly on each day with included of pranayama,which will create sudden effect on diseases effected body. keep my;lotting
