Singapore is said to be an expensive place to learn your driving. It takes about $2000 to $3000 to get a driving Licence and that's provided you pass all the different test at first try.
I am not sure about other country but in Singapore, in order to pass driving, you have to pass two theory test (Basic Theory Test and Final Theory Test) and one practical test. You have to answer 45 out of the 50 questions correctly for the theory test in order to pass the theory test.
The tests are conducted by machines and you get your results immediately. In order to familiarize yourself with how the touch screen system work, you can try out during e-trials.
I signed up a package with the school and I was given 6 e-trials, hence I decided to try out a few of the mock tests before my real Basic Theory Test (which I've just taken by the way). I took 5 out of the 6 mock tests available and guess what? I failed 4 out of 5 of them!
I had my last 3 e-trials just before my Basic Theory Test and I finally pass 1. I was telling myself, "at this rate I'm going, what are my chances man?" So I went into the examination room thinking I will fail.
I was the last to step in the examination room, and walk out of the room in 10 minutes (instead of the full 50 minutes)! I saw this girl giving me a "What the hell, that's fast" face and I almost laugh out.
I was over the moon and I almost wanted to jump around the examination hall because I PASSED!!!! Oh my god! I actually pass! Thank god I pass, I don't have to take it again!

Don't get your heads over the clouds leh! lol.. Well, I would have to say a very reluctant congratulations to you for passing your test! But then guess what.. BTT is actually very easy to pass one.. even without the trial test, and you failed 4 out of 5!! My gosh~ That's like.. hello...?
Imagine if you did not have the free e-trial test. Hmm.. the ending would be very very different. Lol Luckily you passed otherwise very lose face leh.. to fail your BTT.. hehe.. Can suan you in office tomorrow le.. Remember don't be late for work hor!
And thanks for sharing with us on the takings of the licence in Singapore, though I think you had over estimated the cost of the lessons if it's all based on first attempt pass. It would take at most $1500 (for school students) and around $800-$1000 (for private candidates). Lol.. the price you just quoted is more like for those who had to retake the lessons either twice or thrice and TP twice (cause that's what my cousin paid and she failed thrice before passing the fourth time!).
That reaction is like overated! Wow~ Just jumping around the hall just cause you passed? My gosh~ Lol.. What happens if you passed your TP? Lol buang the car..?
Oh Well.. CONGRATULATIONS and yeah~ I was just kidding about the above post. No offence intended.
Take care and happy mylotting!!

Hello! Firstly, that price is what I heard from my friends and cousins (who pass all the test at first attempt). Secondly, I never study that's why I did so badly. Since my chances of passing is soooo low, obviously I am over the moon when I found out I pass! Thirdly, if I am going to get offended by you, I will be offended almost DAILY! HAHAHHA. Happy mylotting and see you tml at work *SULK*

Hey I am not that bad okay! Lol... and I treat you super nice at work. Where can you find a colleague like me man? Please count your blessings and there's no point sulking around me! Wahhaa =D
Your reaction is way over reacted la. Lol.. you can still be calm while being excited and there is like absolutely no need to be showing off your excitement to every single person you meet mah. Sounds logic? Man should be logical, not emotional okay!
This goes to show that we should not believe in everything that we hear, but rather we should listen, research and check it out for ourselves before coming to a conclusion. Lol.. that's the thing about life that you should start to learn, little boy.
Haha happy mylotting!!
