Put them under "Friends", "Officemates", "Classmates", "Boardmates", or perhaps "Exes", "Human Rights Advocates", "Haters/Posers", "Cat Lovers", or just plain "Lovers"? I didnt use to put titles on my Yahoo! Messenger list, just the usual "Friends", served its purpose up until high school. But during college, I got confused which "John" is John, the college friend one or the high school one? hehehe I currently have "Friends" which includes my high school friends and my cousins, "College Friends", "Online Friends" those who I met online, "Friends of Friends" those who became my friends because of cousins or a mutual friend, those who went to the same high school but different year level as I was, and the brothers and sisters of my "Friends" who just added me as a friend just for fun. Of course I have this list whom only a handful of people are in. These are the ones who Id make myself available for and drop what I was doing (if I can afford to.LOL!) just so we could talk especially when there is a concern for something. Anyway, what about you? What instant messenger do you use? how do you manage your messenger list? What do you put in the titles? or perhaps you have your own way of discerning your friends? Thanks!^_^

I don't really have that many people on my yahoo messenger list so I just put them all under friends. What I really wish is that there was a way to organize my friends here on myLot. So many times I want to look at a certain friend's discussions and I have to search through pages and pages of friends until I find the right one. I wonder if anyone has ever suggested to mylot that they devise a way for us to organize our mylot friends.

I have two MSN user account, i rarely use them as most of my classmates and friends choose QQ. I got 8 friends frequently on line in one of my messenger list and the other was much less, only one or two. These days i used the messenger a bit more, as one of friend would like to chat with me through this. I didn't categorize, only "friends". I may try to expand my friend list by adding friends in mylot i guess

Oh wow, you have 3 or more...? how do you manage all of them? Well, there are lots of classmates who are constantly online but Im usually invisible especially when I have things to do, or I just log in while invisible, see who's online, if there isnt anyone who I fancy of chatting with at that time, then I log out. But like Ive said, that was before. Now I just log in every time Im online , has become a habit that started some months ago. Thanks so much for responding. Welcome back. and take care always.

I don't have a lot of friends on Messenger, and actually I never really knew that there were other Titles I could use until I read this discussion.... so, right now I have them all under Friends list. Maybe if the list gets too big some day, I'll change it too. thanks for the info.

I have a few categories here in my messenger list: - others - friends - colleagues - angels (here is my beloved and my best friends) - a site's members - a game's members - not interested members - this is were i keep people that i don't want to talk to but i must have them in my list if something urgent happens.

Sorry for the delay, elitess. Wow, you have quite a comprehensive list of categories. Sweet that you put your beloved and best friends under Angels. Though, Im just wondering...if you put those who you don't want to talk to only unless something happens under "not interested members", then who do you keep under the "Others" category? Thanks always for the response.^_^

Hi, there! I use MSN and I put them into " Colleagues"," Classmates"" Students"(I'm a teacher) and "friends". My best frineds are in "Colleagues" or " classmates", and my "friends" only include 3 common friends. and If I have some confusing similar names in one column, I'll add a minititle to it. Usually I'll make it funny. I guess it works all the time because I never mistake someone to someone else. Have a nice day!
