Like A Kid At Christmas

I should probably say Merry Christmas, Grandpa Bob! It's nice to have a lot of exciting new stuff - especially all at once like that! And everybody needs a powered woofer. I hope your SIL isn't like my husband when it comes to hooking up telly equipment ... I prefer to wait until our daughter comes home for any tuning of recording machines - she manages to stay calm and patient. Enjoy your new toys!

Wow, that's quite a setup. Did myLot buy all that for you? I don't think I would be able to sit there and see it in my house and have to wait for it to be put together. I'm very impatient about things and I know I would want it hooked up NOW.

Oh you are a lucky boy, you must have a good angel looking after you, even having a son-inlaw like that is an added plus. And as you said it isn't even Christmas yet, so what did you do to deserve this....

I don't think its dorky - I'd be doing the same thing!!! And I'm fe-type-male! I'd probably be more excited if I were getting a new computer, but that's because mine is 8 yrs old now.

Nice Bob!! What I wouldn't give. I'm lousy at hooking electronics up anyways so something like that would blow my little mind. I can imagine the anticipation is just about killing you about now, huh? Well, have fun with it and don't forget about us here on the computer that you already have.

Patiently? I THINK NOT!!!!!!! Enjoy the excietment at our age it doesn't come around nearly often enough.

I know I would NOT have been patient that is how I learned in the end to do things like that myself, as I was sick of waiting for the Ex Husband to do it, he kept putting it of and of, so in the end I did it all myself lol and still do I will go and look now at your Toys

oooh!! i dont think i could wait until Sunday!! course i would end up trying to hook it up myself, getting frustrated, confused, mad, then hours upon hours later reaching the final stage. acceptance of my own stupidity..or at least immense lack of general tech savvy lol!! the max number of electronics that ive been able to hook up without going crazy has been 4. the tv, dvd player, directv, and the DVR player thingy. and that seriously taxed my brain power!! it works perfectly right now..but as soon as we have to switch to that DTV box thingy..im pretty sure i wont be able to record something from the over-air (dtv) channels anymore. stupid dvr and directv thingy are older models and dont "recognize" the digital signal. well i think thats the problem anyway. i do have a friend who has told me a way to solve the issue (we think) but im not making any changes until we get the roof-top antennae (so we actually get the digital local signals) it isnt broke right now, so im not going to tempt fate by trying to fix it yet! LOL!

Woo Hoo Good for you. I would be excited to but not as much as I would be if I got a laptop! LOL....I don't watch alot of tv. but am on the road alot and would love to have a puter to take with me! I am excited for you too!

grandpa bob you earned and you derserve it so enjoy an early Christmas gift to yourself. arentyou lucky to have a son in law who is electronics expert.I myself have my built in computer geek he calls himself that, my son, never costs me a penny to have my computer repaired or some part replaced. and he enjoys every noment of it too. you just be as excited as you want, and have fun, like I said you did earn it. lol.

Mmm...can your SIL get me a good deal too? LOL I can understand your enthusiasm...whenever I get a brand new item of electronics I'm like a kid at Christmas as well. Thankfully, I've never had problems setting up things. Maybe it had to do with once working at the music recording studio at college...in other words I know my inputs and outputs....heehee Congrats on your new "toys"--hope you have hours and hours of enjoyment with them all.f

Oh wow that is a lot of cool stuff, I love electronics like that. It will all sound so cool when it is set up. I am no good with electricals, hubby would have to put all that lot together if we had it! I am not surprised that you are like an ickle kid I would be too.
