Last time, I made toast, it was
really burnt.
I got really busy and left the toaster
oven on too high for a minute too long
and it really burned good!
Ordinarily, I would have simply
scraped off the burned part,
but this was really charred!
No way to save the toast.
So, in the trash it went.
Have you ever eaten burnt toast?
Would you rather go hungry than eat burnt toast?

I get into that burnt toast situation when first time i buy the machine and also when i first time use office toaster. I will try clear the burnt part and see if i could still eat the balance. If not, then i would rather keep hungry for myself as understand the burnt part is not good for health. So what i have done to the burnt toast is buried it for my plant, because that's good for them, that's what i know of.

I usually scrape off the burnt bits (if I was able to). If not then it's in the rubbish.

I love the golden toast.
Usually turns that color when I use
lots of butter on the toast during cooking.
But, it's so hard to catch the
toast at the perfect time to get
it to be that color!

I won't eat my toast if it is burnt or even if it is just too dark for me. i like my toast to be pretty light, especially if I make it with rye bread. With rye bread if it is too dark it gets too crunchy and makes a big mess when eating it. If it is white bread it can be a little bit darker but not much.
I had a toasted bacon and tomato sandwich today for lunch and I used whitebread and only toasted it a little. Nothing like biting into a sandwich and have the toast fall apart and get the tomato all over me. No thanks.

The only time that I have burned toast was when I was making galic toast in the broiler in the oven. And I really burned it and it went into the garbage. Then I got a toaster oven which has a timer on it so it is really hard to burn it. I don't think there is anyway I would eat it. I would either make another piece or just go without. That burnt taste will stay with you for along time and I would rather eat something else then suffer through eating burnt toast.

Carb cravings during times of stress
or anger are not bad.
There's something in bread and other
carbs like cake that helps the brain
produce a chemical that helps you feel
normal.
It's just a coping mechanism.

Yes, I think I would rather go hungry than eat burnt toast. I do like things really crispy, but burnt.... I'd rather not.

I like crispy too.
But, burnt is going a bit far.
Thanks for your comments.

I do not like burned toast, I do not like that black flavor.
My mom thinks burned toast in milk is good for stomach aches and would make that for us as a child and I cannot stand it.
What she would do is burn the toast and scrape off the blackened parts put the toast in the toaster again and burn it over and over again until there was no toast left. Then put warm milk over the top of it. YUCK, DOUBLE YUCK!!!!!!!! I cringe just thinking about it.

Yes I have, many times. Many many times. It doesn't bother me and like you, if it's too burnt, I can scrape some off. I was told that burnt toast is good for your heart. I don't know how much truth that holds but I've been told that and the person who told me wasn't a reliable source however, it could be true, I just don't know.

I generally scrape the burnt part off and still eat it. That is if it is not completely charred and black. That kind of burning seeps into the bread and just tastes bad so I would just throw it away then. I rarely burn toast thankfully. Popcorn is an entirely different story!

I always scrape off the burnt bits, its doesn't taste the same but its better than throwing it in the bin. If I could save it I would but if it was really charcoalled and crispy then there is no way I would save it.

Hello beauty queen. I have not eaten burned stuff, as I think that it is not good to our health. I think that you are right to place the burnt toast in the trash.

Ewww! I hate burnt toast. I'm so frugal though. If I burn my toast I scrape off the burned part, lol. Maybe I'm just cheap!?

Burnt toast is just so disgusting, I do not know how anyone can eat it. I think that yes, I would rather go hungry than eat toast that is burnt. My kids will not eat it either even if I scrape the burnt off they know and will not eat it. I am starving actually, I could just eat some toast with a gallon of butter on it!
