Why do you think students go to college?

I think most of students would like to go to college.And the three most common reasons for it are to prepare for career,to expand knowledge of themselves and to have a special experience.
The primary reason to attend college is career preparation in my opinion.As we all know,job market is more and more competitive.In college,students can learn some new skills for jobs with a lot of opportunities.Also,students go to college to enlarge their knowledge in the subjects they are interested in.Maybe it will be the last chance for them to learn something that is not related to their jobs.What's more,many students want to have a special life in college.It's the first time they've gone away from their home for many students.They can meet lots of people from different places and have fun with them.And they have the changes to make decisions for themselves.It's a great way to improve their abilities of independence.

I agree with you that it has to do with career preparation. Sometimes, going to college also has to do with societal pressure like in a country people perceived that students who are college graduates will be more successful. There are also countries that think it is important to be street smart and entrepreneurial than going to school.

Yes,I'm still a student and study in a college.I come to the college last year.The reason why I come to here is that I want to learn more knoledge so that I can be a scientist and build a cab so that I can do something well for human being.

i am totally agree with you that student are going to college for these basic reasons.friend,because the student looking for getting better knowledge they will join college,in these days competition is increase more and more,so they will develop there good skills in the college.so that they can compete in the market with other people and get they place in the market.friend,the other reason for going to college is taking some fun with colleague or class-mate.its a special feeling for everybody's life.they will enjoy this very much and want to live every moment of there life

I don't agree with what u have said....It might be the case in some top level institutions but in most of the institutions it is not the case....Students go to have timepass and to enjoy with friends...Most of them will not have any idea abt their future career...

yeah,I agree with you.I am a college student.We can learn a lot in the university.Not only knowledge,but also learn to how to get on well with other people which is important in our future life.Just as what you said,we can improve our abilities in many aspects.Besides,we can meet many people all over our country.We can make many friends.It is really treasure for us.Do you agree?

In my twon , the most of students who go to school their parents oblige them,or they go to have fun not to study , for exemple to meet other friends and past time with them by insolting teachers, stealling students, and doing some bad stuff that the student should not do .
