Is it good if your birthday is on a holiday?

My birthday is on Halloween. Do you think that's good or bad? I think that it's hard to celebrate 2 things on one day.

i can relate...my birthday falls on Nov. 1st and growing up it was great. candy one day and presents the next!! what kid doesn't want that??
now, im turning 24 next month and for the past few years because Halloween is before my birthday, my friends tend to go out and celebrate Halloween instead of my birthday..I always end up postponing my birthday plans for the next weekend on account of Halloween and it's really crappy.
so to answer your question, i'd rather NOT have my birthday on a holiday because eventually people forget about your birthday which sucks!

Birthday is the best day in our life. I think there is no effect if your birthday is on a hallowen day. I think it will be more nice that you can celebrate it together. I hope my birthday is on a holiday, so I can schedule to celebrate my birthday easier.
Keep post
happy myLotting...

I really don't know to answer you. I have never celebrated Halloween. But I feel that you can have a halloween Birthday party. (I mean the theme would be halloween) So that you can have both. While I was in school, I never liked my birthday to fall on a holiday but I never had my Birthday on a school day because it's in end of December where we had school vacation.

In my opnion,it has advantages and disadvantages. If my birthday is on a holiday,I will have much free time to play and celebrate with our family or friends. It seems really wonderful. But just as you write,it is hard to celebrate two things on one day,we may ruduce our expenses to celbrate our own birthday.what is more, some people just celebrate the holiday and forget or leave out your birthday. It is too bad.So it is hard to say which is better. It depends on your own opnion.Do you agree?

My Hubbys birthday is one October 30th and his special day gets lost in the holiday rush. It is hard but we celebrate the holidays a little different. My son was born on the day after new years. We all get the day off and celebrate, we try to make it a big deal.
You can only make the best of what ever situation life hands to you.

I'm a day after you, Nov. 1st, and I've always hated Halloween and I think this has something to do with it. I know a lot of people born on or near Christmas don't like it because they tend not to get birthday presents because people pass their Christmas presents off as birthday presents too. I also think people are more likely to forget your birthday if it's on a holiday because they're too wrapped up in the holiday (especially Christmas or New Years.)

Yes, we can cut our expenses and save a lot when holiday and birthday is on the same day. We could save time for the preparations as well. There will be no excuses for your loved ones not to attend your party.
