Never in my wildest dream that I will work outside the country. But because of the situation right now in my workplace and the financial needs of my family it opens the idea of working abroad. I know many were able to find luck abroad but some were not. I don't know if I will find luck there also but with Gods guidance and positive thinking I will. For you what do you think? Working abroad is the solution?

I've been married for more than five years now and at present, we do have one daughter for a child. My husband and I do have separate jobs; I earn more than my husband, too. But still, we find it difficult to make ends meet because we're still in the process of paying all of our outstanding monetary obligations with various individuals and institutions.
I guess with our current financial status, I couldn't easily give up my job to take care of our child not that I don't want to but more because I think it will be a lot harder if we were to depend solely on my spouse's income from his unstable job.
Even before I graduated from college, I already have plans to put up my own business because I prefer being my own boss rather than working for someone else. Unfortunately, I don't have the required capital to start one so I have no other choice but to be employed in a company. This is definitely my personal choice because I want to spend more quality time with family and friends.
But I'm afraid that several months from now, I will be forced to experience this because the company I'm working with for nearly four years now is planning to close shop by the end of this year or until the first quarter of next year. In this regard, we have decided that one of us has to sacrifice working abroad for the family's welfare.
If my hunch is correct, I feel that you're also a Filipino just like me. Anyway, where do you plan to work abroad, if I may ask?

Your family is very much the same than mine. I have one daughter and I earn more than my husband which have an unstable income also. Im working now in a company with no other choice but to work for I dont have also enough capital to start my own business. With the economic situation right now I think it also affect the company Im working because we have very few sales and I don't know if we are going to survive in this economic situation. I am planning to work in canada if God forbid me to go so. I am a filipino. So, where do you plan also to work abroad?

I think this is not the only solution. There are lot of ways to earn a living here in our country. The only thing you need is determination to succeed and hardwork. If you are very determined to achieve your goals in life then youll have it on the right time. Success is indeed on our hands. It is how we should use it. Some may view as going abroad will give them success but come to think of it that not everyone who go abroad gets their success.

Yap I know that not most people get their success abroad that is why we should have luck on our side in order to succeed. Aside from my work I have lots of extra living I deal different kinds of beauty products, bags, watches, dresses and I have a small sari sari store at home. I'm a very determined person I set goals in my life. I have dreams that I wish someday I can attain but I think that luck is a bit far in my life so I don't succeed. But I don't give up hope coz I now someday I will attain all my dreams.

There are just people who are lucky to have found good jobs here in our country. They don't need to go abroad and work there to support the family. That's the main reason of some, they want to work abroad; for the money to support the family. Their life may be hard here so they opted to go there for greener pasteur. It's their way for survival.
What I can say is, if it's really hard here then you can try, just make sure you survive there and you will need constant prayer. Anyways, good luck!

I hope that whatever your plans are, they will materialize. We all hope for the best in our life. Sometimes, our current economic or financial state push us into trying our luck in applying for a job abroad. No one can blame us for wanting to seek for greener pastures. If opportunities are not available in our home country, why not try seeking for that opportunity abroad? Good luck to you and I wish you all the best!

When is the right time for us to make decisions? When the opportunity knocks in our door we should gladly accept it not just sit tight and think if we should or not accept it. We should grab every opportunity because it comes once in a lifetime.

hi desiree,
you know what? me and my husband is also planning to leave our country ( i'm fron the philippines btw) and it is because we wanted to put an end to all the loans and obligations we have here...it's so sad that life here in the philippines is not the same about 3 or 5 years ago.we will not know if we will succeed in other country if we don't give it a try. You're right having the right attitude and God's guidance, we can succeed...at least if we fail for a while, we can always stand and try again...and would you mind if i ask you where do you plan to go? and from where country are you from?do we share the same country?

hi grace, we share the same country, the beloved philippines..... im planning to go to canada but its not yet sure it was offered to me by my ninang(wedding). You know its very different talaga here in the philippines right now. The economic situation is really too hard on us even if we work so hard it seems our hard earn money is not enough to help in our financial needs.I'm just thinking of our future and the future of my daughter. Anyway, if ever i pursue this i will keep you inform about it and maybe can help you also.....

I dont see that working abroad is a solution for prosperity. You can prosper even working here in our country. Hardwork and patience is the main key to success. You can prosper abroad but there will still be loneliness in yourself because you will be away from your family. However if you work here youll be happy and still can be successful because of hardwork and patience.

Hardwork and patience is not the only key to succeed here in our country. I can say that I'm a hardworking person and I am very patient also for I spent eight years of my life to one boss only. Why I can't see the fruits of success here. Maybe I can say I'm successfull if I'm financially stable and I can feel what you call "sense of security" in my job.
