Mother is a God's greatest and kindest of gifts to us. When we open our eyes in this world, we first see our mother and till we are alive, we wish her to be around in our joys and sorrows. So is my mother, without me uttering a word, she understand what I want and what is troubling me. When she is around, I do not need to bother about anything be it food, my clothing or something else. She always speaks to me in a very polite manner and expects me to obey her directions. I have the utmost respect for my mother because it is she who has brought me up and helped me attained my goals in life. Mother-son/daughter relation is such that mother knows lot about her child. It is a kind of relationship which cannot be equated with any other relationship. On the lighter side it is also said - That it takes 25 years for a mother to make his child a wise person and if takes 25 days for a wife to spoil that man.......LOL!

its the great and wonderful gift that GOD give us all, and that is having our mother, i know in the past my mom and i really fought a lot, maybe because im too reckless and full of things which ive done in the wrong way, and maybe she just want me into be in the right path, and cant blame them, i dont think id be like this if they werent there, ,,and i know someday id be a mother myself and cant wait me to experience that, but im also afraid that i cant handle it very like my mom do to us!!!so help me GOD,lol

I have to respond to this and see what other people have said on this topic. I am sorry to say that my mother and I don't have a good relationship at all. She believes that she is a grown woman and can do what she wants. What she doesn't realize is that people look at me with disgust and that bothers me at times. She gets into lots of trouble the last time was with the law. And I'm the first person that they call. Wish I had a friendship with her. I have a daughter though and she means the world to me. I love her and she loves me.

my mother is someone i can rely of. she is a woman who made a lot of sacrifices for us and she loved us dearly. my mom may not be a perfect mom but i won't trade her for anything else or anyone else she means a lot to me and she has always been selfless to my dad and with me and my sister. great topic.

Mother plays an important role in everyone's life. She is always busy working for the whole family as a bee.She is more important than a father,I think. She carries too much tasks on her shoulders.Taking care of the elders and looking after the children, earning money, etc.I want to enjoy all my time with my mother, but that is impossible.Because my mother lives together with my brother a lot.Besides I have two sisters. So the happy time with my mother is limited.I swear if I take the chance,I'll give my mother love and happiness.

I am a Mother and a Father to my daughter if my wife would go for her work and if I am free most of my time I always stay and keep my daughter safe at all the time although I knew that I cannot give everything she need but at least I am here to protect her if she needed someone and comfort her in time of her weary.....

I grew up with a single mom. My dad left us when we were little. It was very difficult for my mother to raise the three of us (I have a brother and a sister), but she wasn't on her own. Fortunately, I had my uncles, aunts and a wonderful grandmother while I was growing up. My mother is far from perfect. She has been dealing with some emotional and psychological problems for a very long, long time now. She would sometimes yell at us for no good reason. We suffered neglect and emotional and psychological abuse from her. I used to be angry at what she did to us. But despite everything, I have always loved her. I try not to focus on the bad things that she has done to us. I know that she has had to deal with a lot while we were growing up -- the emotional scars from her difficult childhood, the stigma of being a "separada" (A woman separated from her husband. People used to look down on "separadas" at the time my mom and dad split up.), and the stress and the difficulties that single-motherhood usually brings. She made a lot of sacrifices while trying to eke out a living for all of us. My mom had her shortcomings, but I've always known that she did her best to raise all of us. I'm just lucky that relatives have always been there to fill in the gaps and to mend the holes in my mom's mothering. So in a lot of ways, I have had other "mothers." For instance, one of my aunts made sure that I ate my meals when my mother was away and that I was neat and tidy from head to toe. My grandma gave me the affection and attention that I sorely needed from my mother. When these relatives left for the U.S., I found myself feeling very lonely. I also have been a mother-figure to my younger siblings. I, too, made sure that they ate their meals and that they were clean from head to toe. I helped them with their lessons and school assignments. I taught them how to read. They have always turned to me when they have problems. Once, I was even surprised because my brother greeted on Mother's Day. Of course, I asked him to greet our mother as well. In essence, mother to me is someone who takes care of you and nurtures you and makes sure that you turn out to be okay when you grow up. She is someone who comforts you when you're in pain and nurses your wounds until you're strong enough to stand on your own again. I've had more than one mother-figure in my life and in some ways, I have been a mother, too. I don't have any children yet, but I hope that I could be a better mom than my own mother.

My mother is the only person on earth who will help me in my times of dire need. I have siblings and we have the same blood but a mother feels differently, I guess. She does tend to let me have an earful without a second thought. Cheers!!

Since I am a mother, it means the world to me. Love, support, understanding, communication and the ever so important "I've got your back"!!! With my own mother, as I have stated before, we aren't really close as we are just totally different people, but I stay in touch with her, and keep her in our lives because we love her!

A Mother is someone who brought me out into this world. Someone who patiently took care of me from infancy. Someone who loves and cares a lot till now that I have a family of my own and already a mother myslf. She is the one patiently rocked my cradle to put me to sleep when I was a baby. She nurtured me with her loving hands and carried me to her bossom so that I could feel the much needed comfort from her own warmth. She is one who made nights into days while I was awake and was wanting for someone who would look after me while I play and giggle on my bed. She was the one who patiently accompanied me to school during my first days of schooling. She was the one who lovingly puts me to sleep at night when I was afraid of the dark and could not sleep alone in my room. She was the one who prayed for me so that I could grow to be the person that I am now. She and my father are the greatest persons in my life.

Being a mother means sacrifices for the good of your children. To give everything you have even the last piece of bread in your hand that is supposed to be yours. Standing by your kids side no matter what may happen is what the word mother means. They play a very vital role in every persons life. They brought joy and inspiration to every individual. There unconditional love is the most wonderful gift ever given. I can survived spending the whole day just talking to my mom and listening to her at times when she needed someone to cry on. She deserves only the best. And i know life would have been dull and sad without her.

My mother is a friend and someone who knows me best. She gives me the kind of support she knows her child needs. She is just everything for me. And my mother is one of the most important people I care and love so much.
